My answer has always been because of denying Holy Spirit to move...but am beginning to see more to this..

What do you all see?
i see the same thing. churches create doctrines so one does not need the Spirit.

Because they don't teach socialism which leads to communism in schools anymore. Kids today dont know a fascist from a faucet. That is how whole countries are taken over.
Stalin said communism would take over the US without firing a shot.. We see it in action. if we do not stop it. it will happen.

That indicates you do not know that the power of God is not signs and wonders but the gospel. The power of God is seen in It's ability to transform sinners into children of God.

What you see as power is nothing more than leaves on the fig tree. Christ is looking for fruit not leaves. Souls being saved from sin and then through the teaching of sound doctrine disciples being made.

Apostates teach doctrine other than the gospel.

For the cause of Christ

That is what it would have to be denying the Holy Spirit to move, which is a result of their beliefs, and embracing more worldliness as time goes on,and neglect of the poor and needy, and not upholding a Christlike attitude, which with that atmosphere the Spirit will not move among them. They are basically wanting to be worldly instead of separating themselves from the world.

Well from what I have read God adds to the church. Rather you sit in a congregation of 2 or 5 faithful or do you want to be surrounded by skeptics?
We saints are the church but instead of pointing fingers We should heed the warning.
No man seeks after God. A good percentage of the lost are blinded by Satan, and the rest rebuke the light. I for one have been lacking in sharing my faith which I have been praying and working on.
Heard a good teaching on the relevancy of the church. From some examples I've seen here and abroad I think we should have a thread about this matter "relevance of the church".
There is no such thing as a independent christian. We are suppose to be a body of believers.
The gift the Lord has given you is to be shared with the congregation for its edification .
So the church lacks as some choose to use there gift or gifts for self edification. This is what causes weakness in the body of Christ. It saddens me a great deal to see so many saints displaced of come to terms with seclusion as a remedy for hurt feelings or better than this attitude.
We are to fight the good fight....We... pray the Lord restores the beauty back to the bride.

Even the devil disguises himself as an angel of light. Does a person who is about to lie to you tell you that they are gonna lie to you? Ha! Of course not!
Hmm, this is actually a pretty good comment. It makes me think. Is that why the churches got no power? Are they actually synagogues of Satan in disguise as Christian churches? Are they just lying and saying they are Christian churches, but in truth they do not have the power that the Gospels and the Apostles say they should have?

Liberals (try) to convince themselves and at least ALL others to cast their pearls to swine.
On the other hand, conservatives just know better. (We do.)
Well then are they really even liberal?

I don't know. What I do know is that I've seen some of my friends devoured by the church, I've seen some hurt by the church and I've seen some flourish in the church. All at the same church mind you. I've also seen people put in positions of leadership who were terrible followers. The world is an upside messed up place and churches are not immune.

Quote " I never said Jesus is a socialist."

A liberal is the same as a socialist. Espouse the same beliefs.

Quote"
Not sure if socialism is even real.

Trust me,its extremely real. Ask the people of Venezuela who are starving to death at this very moment.

Quote"Well Jesus healed all manner sinners and ate with them and made company with them too. Seems pretty tolerant to me."

Jesus ate with sinners. Are all your friends Christians? Unfortunately mine are not. They are still friends,I still see them socially and yes,we eat together. One just gave his life to the Lord about a month ago! Amen! But just because Jesus spent time with sinners doesn't mean He agreed with or tolerated their sins. He didn't wink at it,He called it out. Today when we say "tolerate" we mean accept.Jesus never, ever did that.
Well how can a socialist be a liberal? If a liberal is someone that is generous, and a socialist is someone that owns nothing, then how can the socialist be generous if he has nothing to give?

Well I suppose one has to ask if Venezuela is actually socialist. Has there ever been an actual socialist nation? Or is it more like there are countries that call themselves socialist so that a few people at the top can just take everything from everyone else?

Well I never said Jesus agrees with their sins, but it seems to me he tolerated the people enough to eat with them and to heal them and to forgive them of their sins. I guess today there's a lot of redefining of the meaning of words though.

I have noticed this too. I guess we'll know them by their fruits.

Wisdom also exists out the world...and you can't learn of it looking at it thru your window.
Reminds me of this saying.

Proverbs 3:19

[SUP]19 [/SUP]The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Yea, the message of the Gospel is pretty radical and revolutionary.
Its radical and revolutionary in that, it is the act of overthrowing the regime that exists inside the individual.

"Man is anxious to change his circumstance but is unwilling to change himself."
