The part I bolded in your post is where all you Word Faith people are 100% wrong. Healing of our bodies was NOT covered in the atonement. If the statement is read in context Isa 53:5d, it doesn’t say that at all. If it is read in context of the book of Isaiah, it certainly doesn’t say that at all!!
I have been through this over and over, and the “pull verses out of context” crowd simply cannot accept that the proper way to read the Bible, as with anything, is to read the verses in context of the passage, the chapter, the book, the testament, the whole Bible and in light of Jesus Christ.
First, I am certain God can heal whoever he wants. Never limit God in that way! Nothing is impossible with God. He does heal.
BUT what he does not do - is heal on demand. We do not “claim” healing. We seek God’s will, and see if it is his will for us to be healed. Sometimes the answer is, yes, sometimes no, sometimes maybe or wait a while. So, please do not say I do not believe in healing. I have seen healings, verified by a doctor. I am going to post something I wrote on this whole topic of whether healing is in the atonement, based on reading the passage correctly. I probably need to start a thread on the whole topic of context. Perhaps when I am feeling better.
Healing is NOT and NEVER will be our due! It is a gift of God, out of his mercy and grace. That is why I get so frustrated and angry with people who have been sucked into this horrible exegetical lie, and refuse to see the obvious.
As for people being vicious, it is because we tell you to look at the Scriptures, and you post word studies from Strong’s, whch is a backwards KJV concordance. If you want to do word studies, at least use Bauer (BDAG) which is the top Greek lexicon in the world, or Brown-Driver-Briggs, the top Hebrew Lexicon in the world.
Others post addresses for Bible verses, not even the whole verse. Context is ignored, the Bible is added to - stuff like Job lived before Adam. And that is directly on you, Stones! That is a pure New Age lie! You are getting sucked into a maelstrom of lies. The more you misinterpret God’s word, the faster you go downhill and believe extra biblical lies. What is wrong with just sticking to the Bible?? It is rich, full, and you can never exhaust its depth. If you have to go so far beyond what God says in his word, are you truly anointed? The Holy Spirit will never lead us down such a wrong path, if we are truly following him, and not some lying, whispering demon. Beware the spirit of New Age evil!
