A sense of humour isn't your strong point is it?

This is The Knight's Templar flag. (And you would be foolish to get involved with that in the real world.)

Your's looks more like the national flag of England. St George's Cross.

HA!! What do YOU know about being British? Who made YOU an expert?

oh... wait.....

And here (with a smiley face no less), he ties women liking gems (I don't, so he made a blanket statement) into some nonsense about why they are drawn to satan. It's thoroughly ridiculous.
You're complaining over this is what is ridiculous ... He didn't call you any names or call you a liar did he ? ... The smiley shows he was playing, but instead you got angry again ...

Righteous super-man heroes don't need to wear them, and righteous women CAN'T wear them.

It's in scripture somewhere, I'm pretty sure.
Right. Righteous women wear pajamas.

The next two verses say why:

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Great women of God obey God's word and keep their yappers shut at church.
Wow! That must be interesting. How do the women in your church run the nursery and Bible school classes in silence? Sign language?

Actually, if you speak Deutsch (German) Schmuck = jewellery. ;). I don't understand the Americanism. And when will Americans learn how to spell colour?
Thanks for this! I just checked my 2100 page Collins English-German dictionary, page 1803, and schmuck is indeed "jewelry - masculine noun, with schmucken verb transitive and verb reflexive, meaning - to decorate.

Next time, I'll either use English, or perhaps quote the page of the German dictionary. I always think it is ironical that the one thing they don't teach in foreign language classes is swear words or vulgarities. Not to personally use them, just to know what they are if you see them in writing, or someone says them to you.

My French is very advanced, and yet, I honestly don't know any swear words. Or perhaps, that is the best way to go? If you don't know the word, you can't think it or say it. Oh the other hand, that is kind of like a mental censorship?

I think you are right.... I tried, in deference to Lucy, to spell behavior with the proper British "u", and my spell checker wouldn't allow it. :(
I learned much of what I know about Search Engine Optimising from a Brit over a decade ago, and still have trouble remembering which country spells optimizing with a Z, and which country spells it with an S, until my spell checker tells me where I went wrong.

Watch out for Brits. They have a tendency to spell in English.

American spell checkers are the work of the devil.

You forgot an important word -- pants.

Have you accused someone of copying and pasting from the internet lately and did you call this person a liar. If yes did you provide evidence for your claim?
Why don't you address this.

That is not any flag of England with my avatar ... It is the flag of The Templar Knights ... If you are going to criticize someone for something you should first have your facts in order ...

Since it is God's role to make the rules, it is His right to make exceptions. It is not our right to make exceptions.
NT style -- Priscilla, Phoebe, and my personal favorite, Lydia. Paul was doing a lot of "excepting."

And the (randomly generated) Yiddish word for the day happens to be Mishegas (MISH-e-gas) n. Madness; craziness; insanity.

See what I mean when I say some senior members here are tossing around a lot of insults ? ... And I had no idea all this was going on ... If anybody wants a clear example of "arrogance", "belligerence" and "insults" they need look no further than the senior member Angela ... Icetech has no doubt just provided the undeniable proof of this ... Be nice if all of this would stop and she would offer an apology to these two men ... She has gone way overboard, there is no doubt ...

You sir, are an abusive man!

First, you abused people in the Family Forum almost 50 times in 4 pages, perhaps more on the other pages. And, you addressed the OP once, then attacked everyone else, telling them only you know the "truth" of the Bible. The epitome of "arrogant."

Then, when I was asked to help out, and I more or less showed you the error of your wicked ways, whether you accepted it or not, you came here, and decided to attack me here. I can't even imagine why you weren't banned for what you did to people in the family forum on the thread about a child using porn.

Now, you are about to become another ignorant heckler in the BDF. Well, I would rather you abduct threads here, than some poor father who is desperate for honest advice.

You have been reported!

PS. I did apologize to Icetech, if you had read the posts, for the perceived insult. Because, there is a definite difference in what the word I said means. But, well, if the internet says it, I guess it must be true. (However, someone with knowledge did tell me what it meant in Yiddish, so I not only apologized to Icetech, as I certainly did not mean that, but I am also apologizing to the whole forum, for getting caught up in a vulgarity I never meant to say, and have it mean what it did! That is totally on me!)

What I do not apologize for is calling arrogant men, arrogant. That stands, on the basis of both your and Icetech's posts. In fact, it is interesting 2 new members came into CC on attack mode, at almost the same time. I was contemplating whether they were multiple profiles for the same person, but I did not see how someone could be so furiously posting in 2 different forums at the same time.

Again, if you knew me better, because you had read the posts, gotten to know me, before you went into attack mode, to say nothing of every single other person you aggressively attacked in the Family Forum, before I had even gone there, you would be much better able to make decisions as to the motives and intents of the people involved. But, fire away!

This occurred 2 weeks ago on a thread about numbers in the King James Bible. Angela starts out by spamming a thread by posting this 6 times in a row.

Here comes her accusation.

The accused responds

This guy really took this accusation serious!
Excuse me but that particular poster was obsessing in a spiritually unstable manner about numerical patterns. He has since been banned because HE was the spammer, not Angela. He posted thread after thread of rubbish trying to lure people in. If you are basing your moral high ground on a defence of that poster you are showing yourself up. Be very embarrassed.

You are making a fool of yourself. Unless your purpose here is to promote religious hustlers? The fellow in question needed to be stopped.

I just realized something that may have a beating on this discussion.

The word ἐκκλησία churches really means assemblies. It was common practice, in the first century, for believers to attend synagogue on the Sabbath and a Christian fellowship on the first day of the week. A synagogue with a large representation of believers might well be thought of as an assembly. For a woman to speak out in a first century synagogue would have been perceived as totally unruly and not tolerated. I can't say that this is the intent; but I see it as a possibility.
If it were the intent it would change many people's perspective.
BUT, Paul was the Gentile's evangelist. He was explaining this to Corinthians, not Jews.

(I don't know either, but this is a "seems to me" kind of thing.)

Yeah "spiritual hustlers" are a "headache" just like "bait and reel/judge" people wanting to either get a question posed to irritate everyone and not respond because they like the chaos they make or they ask a question in hopes of telling everyone else they are wrong because they already supposedly know the answer.

and you haven't been around here long enough to know what precipitated her style of response.

Your feelings are hurt. Your sense of "Christian behavior" has been aroused.

Nobody has placed you in charge of policing this forum, or attempting to "shame" us into "better behavior" (by your standards, of course)

If you don't like the way discussions are done, you are free to move along. I've apologized as much as I intend to on this issue. If you can't get over it, drop it and move along, then that's pretty telling about YOUR true attitude.

And, for the record, your attitude matters not at all to me. Nor do your hurt feelings. I agreed that I used the wrong word in reference to Icetech, and apologized for using that word.

Now, drop it. Your self-righteousness is wearing thin.
It doesn't matter what "precipitated" her style of responses ... It is no doubt extremely insulting ... Does the Bible say this is appropriate under certain circumstances ? ... If it does then please show me, if you would ... There is no more excuse for her behavior than there was for yours ... I don't have to be here long to have noticed what is going on ... And I haven't taken any charge other than charge of telling the truth ... God has given me that right you know ? ... I don't have to obtain that right from you or any other human being ... A small fraction of you seniors are the ones trying to police the forums and eradicate anyone that disagrees with you or proves you wrong ... It isn't anybody else I see doing all the insulting ...

So, you say if I don't like it I can just move along ? ... Fine, but you should know that goes both ways ... Nobody is forcing you to stay here either ... You also have the freedom to move along anytime you wish ... Their is no self-righteousness here ... I ask for peace three times in earlier posts and you could respond with only hate and sarcastic cartoons ... You are the one that was disturbing the forum ... If you now want peace, then you can let it rest yourself ...

No. The role of the woman is to be the help meet for husband.
So all the single women and widows are roleless? And here I am as a married women with just one job? Even the Proverbs 31 woman had more than one role.

You've overly simplified this into what you want.
