The Apostle Paul says, "WERE." He does not say, "ARE" homosexual.
Paul says neither. The category "homosexual" does not exist until some time later. Paul does describe some people who do certain acts, but he's not describing all homosexuals. For instance, Paul doesn't discuss those who are merely attracted to members of the same sex; all the words used in the Greek scriptures describe folks who actively follow up on their attractions in some sexual act.

It always seems surprising that there are celibate homosexuals, but there are men whom your average American would immediately and correctly identify as gay, but who have never acted on it. I know a 50 year old man with three grown children, who identifies as homosexual and attributes his successful "love" life with his wife to alcohol. Paul might have something to say about his drinking habits, but at no point does Paul discuss his proclivities. Even in Romans 1, Paul is talking about those who are given over to those particular lusts.

People wanted to stone a prostitute: John8:7 - When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

I am not condemning anyone. Part of being a christian is denying your flesh. You choose to have sex with another man/woman. I do believe gay people can go to Heaven, but you're not fulfilling God's PERFECT plan by choosing to live in sin.

I stepped out of this lifestyle two years ago, hardest thing I've done, but it gets easier everyday.

You can be celibate and never have sex with another man but you cannot go from gay to straight. If you have sex with a woman, I feel bad for her b/c you're basically lying to her to "get right with God." It's especially sad when a closet gay man marries a woman and has kids, and then comes out at like 45 years old, and that poor woman has to realize that the man she loves can never love her back. And it's sad for the men, b/c they've lived lies their entire lives.

Quite the controversial subject here. All people sin even christians. But we are to keep a repentant heart. Praying for forgiveness and turning from that sin. If it is to difficult for us to turn from on our own, it might be a bondage that we need delivered from. I have known many gay people that were likeable people. I do believe gay tendensies may be part of human nature some just choose to act on them. I find it hard to say you have truly repented if you continue to willingly live the lifestyle guilt free. Christians do have the duty to tell the truth according to gods word but do it in love not hatred. I can't say I condone being gay because it is not biblical. I don't think you can honestly say "I'm living to please god" and willfully continue to go against god. As a christian I can't sugarcoat the truth and say its ok to be gay and still go to heaven. But at the same time I can't say because someone is gay now that they won't go to heaven. God knows every mans heart and he will judge, that is not my job or any christians. It is our job to love and to be an example for the world and bring people to god. Being gay may not be gods will for us but niether is driving people away from him by being a hypocritical judge reguardless of the situation. Yes mary magdelene was a prostitute but after her encounter with jesus did she continue in prostitution or did god change her life.
Good post, I'M with you 100 percent

Bottom line is fornication is abominable and forbidden by God at all times to any participant straight or not.

God has ONLY blessed and ONLY authorized coitus within the marriage between ONE male and ONE female. Anything outside of God's opinion regarding sexual activity (which includes looking to lust/desire) is already off limits and abominable to God.

There are celibate atheists and celibate Hindus and celibate Communists and celibate Muslims and celibate Monks and celibate Nuns and celibate US Secretary of State and celibate physicians and celibate physicist/mathematician and celibate musician and... ...they all need the Savior Jesus... We all need God!

Any "celibate" state is NOT spared from the natural human depravity experience. ONLY discipline of faith in Jesus avails for the virtues which matter in life. Everything else is "bottled" rubbish. LOL

In other words, a celibate homosexual is still a sinner by definition of human DNA. A celibate homosexual still needs to repent and follow Jesus like the rest of the straight blokes. LOL

You're putting God in a box.. With God NOTHING is impossible.
There was a man at my church, he was gay till about 30 years old, got married at like 42 and died last year at the age of 83. He had like 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Your logic shows no faith or belief.

As for the ones who go back. So what? They don't represent all exgays. They represent their own weakness.
I know it's possible to change, I felt attracted to a girl before. Thats what matters. Love not lust.

So are you gonna keep calling God a liar? Because you are telling me the exact opposite of His word.

Before you reply, trying to prove me wrong, check what the bibles says. To scientist its impossible to 'make the sun stand still' but with God, it IS possible. So stop putting YOUR creator in a box, stop telling Him what to do, stop listening to the lies of the world. God bless, hope you had a blessed CHRISTmas bro.

Having reproduced proves nothing and it's disappointing you think this is a counterexample.

At the same time I don't think it's fair to Judge another person's heart. People overcome drinking and drug addictions. The thought of drinking can make people sick who have recovered.

I don't know if i would go so far as to call homosuxuality and addiction, but at the same time i believe God can release thouse urges. To underline what one of the previouse posters said. I think saying God is not able to turn people hearts is really putting him in a box.

Regardless of the act of sin we are talking about--sin is bondage and God still delivers from sin. With God all things are possible. God hates the sin but he still loves the sinner. However, he gives us the choice whether we accept Jesus Christ and walk in the truth of His word or not. Pleasure is for a season but eternity last forever. The choices you make today will determine where you will spend eternity if you do not repent and submit yourself to God you will spend eternity in hell.

Wouldn't it be right if we wouldn't bring sex into all of these?

Amen. It gets to the point where it feels like an addiction. It's a daily battle. I know it will be worth it in the end though.

But for anyone trying to argue.. This post was made to reach out to struggling homosexuals, so please have respect.

No it doesn't. Physical stimulation causes erection, regardless of where it is coming from. Having sex with a woman for 2 minutes thinking about dudes just to have offspring is more than likely what happened there, and that's just wrong. Not because he's gay, but because he's lying to that woman.

The whole ex-gay movement is total BS and it's been stated by everyone, INCLUDING THE EX GAY MINISTRIES to not turn you straight, only make you repress natural desires.

You are judging His heart. You don't know.

And actually, they preach that is possible to change, it's on God's watch, not ours. You have to repress sexual urges if you wanna overcome them. Stop putting God in a box.. With God, NOTHING is impossible. You can't argue with that. Where is your faith?

You're implying God WANTS you to change. You're looking into the heart of the all powerful creator.

You're doing the equivalent of praying to God to change your skin color.

I apologize they brain washed you enough into living a full life in a lie... I honestly really do feel bad for you.
