none of the other religions have the atoning sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross.

most are just works based religions that are based on the outdated eye for an eye principals sometimes called Karma and not the Gospel of salvation.

they enslave people to the Law and do not understand the saying that God wants mercy not sacrifice.

Many people claim to be Christian but also teach works based man made religions of this world that worship idols and not the ONE True God.
Well actually, there were plenty of other religions that mention those things. Zoroaster was born of a virgin, baptized in a river, tempted by the devil in a desert, cured a blind man, taught them about heaven, hell, salvation, judgement, and the apocalypse, and was slain.

Then there was Attis of Phrygia who was born to a virgin on December 25, was a savior slain for mankind's salvation, his body was eaten as bread, he was the son and the father, he was crucified from a tree and went to hell and after three days was resurrected.

Finally there's the Egyptian god, Horus. He was born of a virgin, the only son of the god Osiris, born roughly december 21, birth heralded by the morning star, no data between ages 12 - 30, baptized at 30, baptizer was beheaded, he walked on water, cast out deamons healed the sick, restored sight to the blind, was crucified, sent to hell for three days then was resurrected.

...Merely pointing out your mistake.

We can't gust believe a bunch of made up stories about made up gods, like Osiris, Attis, Zoroaster, or even turkey roaster. All those stories are plagiarised from the truth of the Gospel. It is so easy for people to rewrite history. They are constantly doing this to get things all politically corrected up. In an attempt to create doubt, it's obvious someone went back and inserted parts of the Jesus story into the legends of these pagan gods. I'll bet you learned this garbage in college, or on the History Channel. There's a really good one about Adams first wife. Her name was Lilith. Adam didn't get along with her because she was a nymphomaniac, so he divorced Lilith. God then made Eve. Meanwhile, Lilith went off to the land of Nod, where she hooked up with demons, and she became a vampire. No kidding, you can read this fable in a book called "Ancient Mysteries".

You are right in quoting John 14:6 "Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." The reason there is only way to God is because Jesus Christ has a unique and exclusive title that no other prophet or founder of any other religions has had, have or will ever have and that title is important, Jesus Christ is The Word of God! (John 1) No man can come to God except through His very own Word. In the same way, no other religion teaches that God loved us first while we were yet sinners and died for us! (Romans 5:8)

Interestingly enough we establish relationships with others by their actions and words. We endorse sayings like "action speaks louder than words" "love speaks louder than words" and "If you love me prove it" We become best friends or even married those who we see are there for us during difficult times and loving us in the good and the bad times etc. It is the same with the God of the Holy Bible and HE is the only true God who has loved us first and He didn't just say it He proved it! The very Word of God became flesh suffered and died for us in our place proving His love for us and giving us eternal life in Him! He poured out His love in our hearts and transformed us to love others as He loved. We are more than special in His eyes, we are unique having each our own set of finger prints and for that he is more than worthy to be praised more than worthy to be glorified! How can we not now live for Him and spread His love to others? He was patient with us and we need to be patient with others and love them into the Kingdom of God. There is no other god. And although other religions will express that their gods are capable of love they will never say what the Holy Bible states who God is: for God is love! Unlike other gods that profess to love they do not and cannot ever prove their supposed love since their founders do not have that exclusive title that Jesus Christ has "The Word of God" All of the founders of false religions are dead. Now compare that with Jesus Christ who lives forever and how do we know this?Well the love I have in my heart is more than proof that God lives and HIS LOVE WAS ALIVE YESTERDAY, IT'S ALIVE TODAY AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE IN CHRIST JESUS!!!

Batman, I think, if you do some research, you'll actually find that those versions of the myths came out long after Jesus lived on the earth as a human, died and was resurrected. Pagan myths after that time added similar elements to Biblical accounts to appear more credible.

Try this link:
Was Jesus a Copy of Horus, Mithras, Krishna, Dionysus and Other Pagan Gods? | Beginning And End

* Hmm... It's interesting that they didn't cover Odin, from Norse mythology.

(I don't know about the worth of the article beyond "Who Is Acharya S?", but the rest is good).

Nice try at detective work. I'm actually almost nineteen (dunno what you meant by [barely]). And I am, actually. I'm fascinated by religious people and I don't really have anything else to do.

Like I said, people rewrite history all the time. I've seen it in my own life time. And, I'm only 56.
When I was in school, Columbus was a brave explorer who discovered a new world. Today they teach that he didn't know where he was going, or where he was when he got there. And, all he can be credited with is spreading disease to the Indians. The fact is that his crew caught the plague from the indigenous peoples, then spread it to Europe.
These same historical revisionist are working day and night, not just to get religion politically corrected up, but to cause doubt in the small minded. They are doing the work of the antichrist. The intellectual elect are at war with Gods word, and they are constantly publishing the lies that you now believe.
I will pray for you.

The Jewish people know the Father but not the Son.
Scripture begs to differ.

1 John 2:23
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the
Father also.

Jews don't know God at all.

All through the OT, we have literally thousands upon thousands of verses informing the reader that Jews preferred to worship idols and false gods over worship of the one true Triune Creator God of the Universe.

As i mentioned, many of the intellectual elect are constantly rewriting history, to get it all politically corrected up. Because the Bible is not politically correct, they must invent the stories, then claim they existed before Gods word came along. They do this all the time. Then gullible little 18 year old girls, are either taught this in their freshman year of college, by liberal, politically correct, communist, college professors. Then they view documentaries on the liberal, politically correct, History Channel. These young minds full of mush are easily polluted, with this communist plot to destroy Christianity. It's all the work of the antichrist.

I will be praying hard for you, little girl!

Exactly. And let's also have a look at the next two verses.

1John.2

[22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
[23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
That's the status of these folks 'till they repent. Let no christian be deceived about this.

Woah.

Ok, I appreciate that my opinions upset you, and I promise such an emotional response was unintended. You've made many judgments about me as a person despite the fact that you know me only through a few posts on the internet. Pretty much everything you've said about me is incorrect, despite my age. All I did was post a few examples of religions that came before Jesus. You're right, maybe they were fabricated by someone trying to devalue Christianity. I seriously doubt it, but hey, anything's possible. Give me some evidence and I'll seriously consider what you're saying. Saying I'm a little girl, on the other hand, is nonsense. If what I said agreed with your view I doubt you'd start throwing in the insults. That says a lot more about you as a person than it does about me.

By the way, the Bible is "politically correct", not following it, on the other hand, isn't, so I don't know where that came from.

I also don't have cable, and I've never seen the History Channel. And I do take offense at you saying my mind is "full of mush" and is "easily polluted" just because I disagree with some of your views. Again you don't know me at all, and that's a pretty rash judgement coming from some who isn't supposed to judge.

If I didn't understand why only Christians go to heaven I don't think that reading these posts would tell me, even though so many state facts about God. Don't think I can do any better, but let me try.

There is only one God, God was the creator and Christianity (Christ) was from the beginning. It didn't start at the cross, the cross fulfilled and made complete but God and creation was the start.

The humans God created wanted to know all things, including sin. God and sin cannot live together. God wants a holy people who live in what God calls "milk and honey". That means a world not disrupted by sin.

Almost from the very first people, like grandsons of Adam, began making up their own rules, they would follow some of the true God, like Batman points out, but they always added what was against God. God has always instructed humans to be true to their creator, to the one true God. When they don't, things happen like Osama bin laden, Hitler, or Baal who had babies burned. Osama followed a god who wasn't a true god, Hitler followed the occult, Baal was an ancient God.

Our God has always given us ways of cleansing ourselves of sin, and that way has always been Christ. Christ was part of the God who created us and the world, a symbol of Jesus was used by blood of animals given for sacrifice before he lived with us in the flesh, and through what Christ did those three days in the tomb we can be forgiven of sin, and be made acceptable to live forever with God.

If your human mind has a hard time with these very spiritual facts, you can look at history and see how worshipping and obeying the one true God works in our world. America was started based on this God. There are always only a remnent who truly worship Him, but compare the world of nations who try and those who don't. Jews are His chosen people. They have been persecuted and killed through the years, but without a nation they stay Jews. Other people assimulate when they don't have God's help. If left without persecution, they always thrive. I think hisory proves that God of the bible is the creator, the true God.

I KNOW YOU VERY WELL!
You're only 18, but you are my 30 year old lesbian daughter. She knows everything too.
So the truth hurts your tinder young feelings. Hay little girl, that's tough love.
You say the Bible is politically correct. Well let's put that to the test.
Abortion: Politically Correct ------------------------------- Pro life: Bible
Homosexual Marriage: Politically Correct ------------- Homosexuality is an "Abomination": Bible
No prayer in school: Politically Correct ---------------- "Suffer the little children to come to me": Bible
No death penalty: Politically Correct -------------------- Eye for an eye: Bible
Feed the poor with welfare: Politically Correct ---------- Proverbs; Starvation is good for a man if it makes him work

I CAN DO THIS ALL DAY, LITTLE GIRL!

I'm old enough to be your grandpa. I didn't fall off the turnip truck just yesterday. You got a lot to learn little girl.
But bless your heart, you just don't have the right teachers. You probably never did.
I'll keep praying for you, little girl.
