Corbus, this is so open and shut according to scripture i would not even debate it with you(we have previously anyway)

I can only suggest, you cease your self study, and join a mainline church, and allow yourself to be taught by a minister. No one is infallible with their understanding.
Is there no church you feel you could go to at all?
Is this not being said by Mark: Stop studying Scripture and be taught by another man......
Then he says: No one is infallible with their understanding...

So, I guess.....

Corbus is self taught, Cfultz

Do you believe that is the best way to learn? Not join a church, just teach yourself? Is that what you have done?

He believes through learning himself the Holy Spirit does not live in him.

Paul says the following:

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
Rom8:9

Maybe you should think of what is best for Corbus, not be led by other motives in any posts you write on this thread

to continue:

We are shown in Scripture to Whom we are to go to to learn of Truth: the Spirit of Truth and He will lead you into all Truth.

So truthfully spoken when it was said that no one is infallible. It is a good thing we have the infallible Word of God spoken to us by our School Master.

Really?

So did the Spirit of truth tell you to ignore the plain words of Christ as to the requirement of belief in him that was neccessary unto salvation, and instead add to it?

The Holy Spirit filled the room
Scripture says that is where the spirit of the antichrist dwell.

1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world....[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

and the Lord went over my day in depth with a fine tooth comb...and I mean EVERYTHING. Every word and the heart intent behind it, every thought and the motive behind it. Even if one thing had 10% pride attached to my action or 1% selfishness attached to my action or thought, everything was seen and highlighted in His light and presence. He dissected it into good and sin.
Satan has been known to be the accuser of our brethren so he would be a nitpicker at that.

Revelation 12:10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

By those two points of Truth, I testify that what you had experienced was not the Holy Spirit when He was already within you and thus not needing to "fill the room".

NEVER have I ever had a day without sin BUT my heart every day is to be more like Him changing from glory to glory.

People do not realise how far we have fallen from glory...from that perfection.

YES we can live a life walking WITH the Holy Spirit, feeling His conviction in all we do and choosing to do what is right but if you firmly believe that you are totally without sin and have reached perfection then you need to get into Gods light to see yourself clearer.
When you are doing the best you can, you will fail if you place your hope on yourself to do the best you can by not sinning.

Galatians 3:O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [SUP]2 [/SUP]This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

We are to place our hope on Christ in being our Good Shepherd and our confidence should be in Him in helping us lay aside every weight & sin so we can run that race to be that vessel unto honour in His House.

1 John 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:...[SUP]9 [/SUP]And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; [SUP]10 [/SUP]That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

1 John 5:1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him....[SUP]4 [/SUP]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Jude 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, [SUP]25 [/SUP]To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

So where you place that hope on is key because those that put it on themselves in doing the best they can to not sin or doing the best they can to follow Him, will draw back when He appears because they will know they have fallen short, BUT those that place their hope on Him, He will have pleasure in them because they will be rushing towards Him with thanksgiving.

Hebrews 10:[SUP]37 [/SUP]For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. [SUP]38 [/SUP]Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. [SUP]39 [/SUP]But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Thank you yes it is His covenant of continual cleansing as we walk in the Light that we have i do not have perfect light to see all my conscious or subconscious or unconscious but He does and He it is that is perfect to continuely cleanse and complete me i am persuadeed that He is able and willing to complete and perfect that which concerns me to love and give all i am to Him, it is His work and no one elses some may receive from the Lord abilities to prode or entreat or help me make a decision i am or am not aware of but this is the work and ministry of Jesus by His Spirit to us and sometimes through us to others. This ministery of the brothers or sisters are for the perfecting (present tense) of the saints process, growth, exposure of blindness or any physical or spiritual infirmity which are nonperfections. The Spirit helps our infirmities(present tense imperfection) by praying for us in travail and utterances that we are not capable or perfect to do so we may receive His perfect work in our imperfection to add to us His perfection.

As a young christian I daily did my best to rid myself of sin. Eventually one day, I got to my prayer time and thought about my day. I hadn't swore, hurt anyone, deceived anyone, got angry with anyone...I went through all the list of sins I had been struggling with and sat on my bed chuffed with myself that finally I had made it, I had completed a day with no sin. So instead of starting my prayer the usual way, in repentance, I started with " Im so pleased Lord I didnt sin today!" . The Lord gave me the scripture "Be still and know that I am God". The Holy Spirit filled the room and the Lord went over my day in depth with a fine tooth comb...and I mean EVERYTHING. Every word and the heart intent behind it, every thought and the motive behind it. Even if one thing had 10% pride attached to my action or 1% selfishness attached to my action or thought, everything was seen and highlighted in His light and presence. The Holy Ghost in a you.
One of the biggest lies people believe today is when do the Holy Ghost actually enter to RESIDE in you. To dwell in you, or to REMAINETH in you. Despite what the Bible teach most “Christians” have NO idea what happens when God puts HIS SEED (Holy Spirit) in a person.
So let us go step by step how the Bible teaches and not these LOST FALSE TEACHERS… Let us see WHAT GOD SAYS about whosoever recieves the Holy Spirit to live in him…
The first verse we will use is 1 John 3:9. In this verse God calls a spade a spade… If you look at this verse you will propably say as I did…. “GOD! This Bible is lying to me now!” But after I studied the Word of God for about 140 000 hours, I still could not find a SINGLE verse that contradicts this verse. Not even a hint of God wanting us to sin… Or permission of God to remain a sinner. NONE! NOT ONE! Actually the OPPOSITE is the Truth. God expects PERFECTION! And He expects it right here on earth… IN THIS BODY YOU ARE NOW! So let us do this, and stop bulldusting people with FALSE teachings,
1 John 3:9… Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Please do not edit or twist or add or take away from this verse…. The WHOLE Bible teaches this. If you need to change this to feel comfortable, the Holy Spirit will NOT STOP reproofing, or convincing or convicting you of the sin in your life. Even if you refuse to stop sinning, the Holy Spirit will still reproof you. Until the day you die, even if you are of the world and not a child of God from heaven. Note FROM heaven…. Jesus said His brethren is NOT OF THIS WORLD even as HE is not of this world.
If we think God or the translaters made a mistake here in 1 John3:9, then God gave us 1 John5:18 to even show just how “delivered” people are when the Holy Spirit resides IN THEM!.... 1 John 5:18… We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Who KEEPETH HIMSELF? The Holy Spirit keepeth himself…. Remember if the Holy Spirit comes to fill you (live in you) HE IS THE SPIRIT THAT KEEPETH HIMSELF…. That is why HE CANNOT SIN! He is the Spirit of GOD! And HE HAS NO COMMUNION WITH DARKNESS… He is the Spirit of light, and the light CHASETH OUT THE DARKNESS!
The Bible says GOD KNOWS TO DELIEVER HIS CHILDREN FROM TEMPTATION….I ask this now…. If God delivered you from temptation, do you think you can still sin… How can you sin if you are not even TEMPTED? How can you sin if the WICKET ONE cannot even touch you with a temptation? You see just as the temptations was SILLY works of Satan to Jesus, that is how they become if God DELIVERS you… Did Jesus not teach us to pray for that? Lead us not into temptaion, but DELIVER us from evil! Now say that AFTER God delievered you, you can still sin. It is BLASPHEMY.
I know one thing about God…. If God bless it, it remains blessed FOREVER! So many people refer to Paul as a sinner. I challenge them…what sin did he do? I know he lied, but when God showed me what OTHERS percieved as a lie, I understood why Paul said these things. And if you read this, why do you STILL see Paul as a sinner? Look at yourself, and then call Paul a sinner again, HYPOCRATE!
Here read this and if you do not know Paul as well as you know yourself, do not even qoute him. He was a HOLY APOSTLE appointed by God, who are you and to what post did God appoint you? Read this….For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Do you even know what Paul lied about? I doubt it. Ask God to SHOW you! And if you know APPLY that wisdom as I do! To TEACH TRUTH, not lies!
Let me assure you one thing today…. NOBODY recieves the Holy Spirit to LIVE IN THEM, BEFORE they are not saints… Saints are people that ALREADY STOPPED ALL SIN! Eph 4:11 to 13. Paul was one that was appointed for : “PERFECTING THE SAINTS”. As Eph 4 goes on ..... UNTO A PERFECT MAN…. To the fulness of Christ. Read this and judge for yourself how perfect the Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers has to be to make a sinless man unto a perfect man.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The Holy Spirit baptism INTO YOU is the FINAL step to make you Christ like, not the first step. The Spirit LEADS before He fills! I will continue thiis teaching later. Get this into your hearts FIRST! Love you all, because God loves you all.
Accepting Christ's birth, death and resurrection is all that is required to receive the Comforter.

Abiding there were ADDED unto them about 3000, and they were told TO SAVE THEMSELVES from the others... And then GOD said...... THE LORD ADDED TO THE CHURCH DAILY.... SUCH AS SHOULD BE SAVED..... (He added so that they (MIGHT BE SAVED) Right through the Bible we read of people falling away from the WAY. But the ones that ENDURED ALL THE WAY ARE SAVED!

The added ones are NOT SAVED YET!!!!!! God adds who SHOULD BE saved.

The whle Bible teaches this.... How would a seed knwo if he would produce fruit.... The seed falls on the roadside, and the birds EAT it. It falls on stony ground and shoots roots quickly and grow but then the sun gets hold and they die. others fall in between the weads and the weeds kill them, but some also falls on GOOD soil and they produce fruit...

How would any other seed produce fruit? If God does not let it grow to full strength it would not bear ANY FRUIT. It was the same seed, the same sower, but different CONDITIONS....

Salvation is of God, and it is COMPLETE only when GOD COMPLETES it. AT THE END OF REPENTANCE! As long as you have sin to repent from, you CANNOT recieve the Holy Spirit! Salvation complete, IS THE IMPLANTING OF GOD'S SPIRIT!

Also called BORN OF GOD! Born again.... Yu are not born again when you START REPENTANCE, Christ is BORN into you when YOU AND HE FINISH YOUR REPENTANCE! You have to endure to the END.... THE END OF OLD COBUS! THE ENDOF ALL SIN THE HOLY SPIRIT reproofed you of.

Please do not get this wrong with years of lies.... God finish ALL He start on. Jesus said.... He and the Father will come and make their abide.... Now please just SEE this, and HEAR this...
When Jesus and Father God RESIDES in you, are you holy? Do not their precense in you make you holy and COMPLETE! PERFECT? What work is to be done on perfection? If you change perfection you make it EVIL. But if God works on EVIL HE MAKES IT PERFECT!

Here is the issue of the Spirit in a person.... Jesus says.... Father I want them to be perfectly ONE! And hten Jesus says.... HE IS GLORIFIED IN THEM.... How glorified is Jesus? Can a person that has the glorification of JESUS IN HIM SIN? If the answer is YES Jesus is also a sinner. But the answer is a DEFINATE NO! God says.. those that sin is of the devil. But the ones of HIM CANNOT SIN. Why? Because the GLORY OF JESUS IS IN THEM.... The Holy Spirit is the Golry of Jesus.

God says.. TEST ALL SPIRITS... whether they are from God. The ONLY SPIRIT from God CANNOT SIN! My friends, just go read the Bible. The Bible teaches us NOT TO SIN! The Bible teaches us... BE HOLY (holy is without sin) Be perfect (how perfect? Even as your HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT) And the TOOL that ensures perfection.... THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD!

There is ONLY ONE THAT IS PERFECT, and HE IS PERFECT IN ALL VESSELS HE LIVES IN.... The Holy Spirit of God completes SALVATION IN THE GLORY OF JESUS CHRIST!

This is the ONLY salvation God knows and teaches. NONE other wills stand with 1 John 3:9 or the Holy Spirit of God.

If you sin, you need to be CLEANSED AND SAVED.... ALL SINNERS needs salvation. Even the ones that THINK they are saved.... A SAVED PERSON DOES NOT SIN! Period!

The whole Bible teaches this. I would like to show one more TRUTH to you,
Look what God said here, and I ask this....DOES THIS NEW HEART EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SIN? If God says that this heart and HIS SPIRIT will casue us to WALK IN HIS STATUTES, can we walk any other road or statutues?

Ezekiel 36:26 and 27....A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
If God casue me to walk in HIS statutes, can I walk anywhere else.... Remember I asked God for this new heart, after HE CALLED ME FOR IT!
There are two books:
1. The book of the Lamb. If you have accepted what Christ has done for you, you are in this book.
2. The book of Life. If you know the truth of what the Father has done for you, you are in this book.

You can be blotted out of the book of Life, but not the book of the Lamb.

a polytheist's dream:

Romans 8:9
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
The Holy Spirit does not come from Christ. It is requested by Christ from the Father.

Jhn 14:16 KJV - And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Jhn 14:26 KJV - But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jhn 15:26 KJV - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

True enough. However, the teacher has to know and believe what he is saying. In other words, if it is not the Holy Spirit that is guiding the teacher, the student falls short. Thus is the way of religion.

Jhn 5:39 KJV - Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Jhn 5:40 KJV - And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Jhn 5:41 KJV - I receive not honour from men.
Jhn 5:44 KJV - How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that [cometh] from God only?

True that :)

My only concern was that he was telling someone to stop studying and let another teach him and then said no one is infallible in their understanding. I was pointing out the Spirit of Truth and His roll as Schoolmaster.

I have no problem at all with preachers, teachers. etc....

Thanks JL

The only problem I have with religion, (no one religion in particular), is that there is a whole lot of preaching and not enough teaching.

Have you ever seen a preaching teacher teaching preaching or a teaching preacher preaching teaching ?

The Accuser of the Brethren does not convict, neither does he love and show grace. I was a young Christian at the time but still knew how to test the spirits.God is TRUTH and will show truth and in that truth I know His amazing grace and love. Satan is more in the line of heaping guilt and condemnation. I knew who was speaking to me and it draw me closer into Gods love, not made me feel like a failure. I really cant see the point why Satan would draw me closer into Gods love, can you? It just made me fall in love with God more. :)

#1) The Holy Spirit does not need to fill the room when He is already in you for the Good Shepherd to speak to you through the Holy Spirit in you.

Scripture says the Holy Spirit is in you.

Scripture says that the spirit of the antichrist is in the world ... that means outside of you.

#2) You were testifying how the knowledge of sin took away your pride in your accomplishment in keeping that list to not sin that day.

You say convicted, but in showing your failure, that was condemnation.

Romans 3:[SUP]19 [/SUP]Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

#3) Finishing by the flesh as the foolish Galatians had done is walking after the flesh.

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

How is it that you were not set free from that but only encouraged to keep trying? I lived like that once in trying to keep my commitment to follow Him and that was like a mouse running inside a wheel... going nowhere.

What I would be led to say is that you can't keep that list. Give it to Jesus to do His work in you. Place your hope in Him.

John 6:[SUP]28 [/SUP]Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? [SUP]29 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Psalm 19:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

That's really going to Him in love because you would know His love for you in that He will do it for you. That's His workmanship. Not yours. That is why the just shall live by faith... in the Son of God and all of His promsies to us.

Psalm 100:[SUP]3 [/SUP]Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 118:8[SUP]8 [/SUP]It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Or in yourself by doing the best you can because no matter how much the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak, therefore what is impossible with man, is possible with God. Trust Him. No one that places their trust in Him will be put to shame.

So you are telling me that I do not know the difference in conviction and condemnation?
You are telling me that I do not know what the presence of God feels like?
You are telling me that I can ONLY have the Holy Spirit in me and He is not allowed to go anywhere else? He is completely confined to my being? (some one had better told Him that when He descended on Jesus as a dove)

Wow!!! A complete stranger telling me what I feel and experience in my walk with God! Awsum! I just love CC :)

So you are telling me that I do not know the difference in conviction and condemnation?
Conviction would inform you to look to Him to keep from arriving at that place again, but instead, you are still trying to do the best you can to not sin, right? Are you not still setting yourself up to fail again and again and again?

When facing any sin, we go to Jesus with it and ask for forgiveness and for help not to do it again as in lead us not into temptation and deliever us from the evil one for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Otherwise, how can you escape pride again if you are the one doing the best you can not to sin?

You are telling me that I do not know what the presence of God feels like? You are telling me that I can ONLY have the Holy Spirit in me and He is not allowed to go anywhere else? He is completely confined to my being? (some one had better told Him that when He descended on Jesus as a dove)
That reference to Jesus's water baptism is hardly applicable for believers in testing the spirits. To do so would make void testing any spirits then. So read this again.

1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.....

This warning means it can happen to any believer. Now here is that line drawn in the sand.

John 4:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

If you erase that line, then no one can test the spirits. John was NOT wasting his time writing this warning and instructions on how to test the spirits because the real indwelling Holy Spirit dwells within us as opposing the spirit of the antichrist that is outside of us as being in the world.

Why would the Holy Spirit need to fill the room to talk to you when He is already within you? I am not saying that He is not in you. I am saying that scripture places the spirit of the antichrist as being outside of you.

Jesus even said how we will know the Holy Spirit personally and that is by dwelling within us.

John 14:[SUP]16 [/SUP]And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [SUP]17 [/SUP]Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

We can only reprove by the scriptures, but I realize that only God can cause the increase.

Return to your first love, and keep your eyes on the Son because the Bridegroom will be returning soon for the ready bride.
