He had a body when He talked and ate with Abraham.

Wait. I thought these were the sons of God (angels), not the Son of God.

I believe Jesus came in the flesh to the earth for the first-time, at Bethlehem. Before that he was Spirit. That's part of the miracle. Otherwise, Jesus Christ was God/Man in Heaven, came to earth as God/baby boy (so he did a Benjamin Button age reversal) and then grew up to be God/Man. That doesn't make any sense.
Joh 8:56-58 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
(57) Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen
Abraham? (58) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Gen 18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door
in the heat of the day;
The word "Lord" is Jehovah. Jehovah appeared to Abraham and sat down and ate with him.
How did He do that? I don't know how He did it, but His word says He did it and Jesus
claimed to be Jehovah. Same body? I don't know, but that was Him.

At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. [SUP]3

[/SUP]Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?(Heb1:14)

I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable
1Cor15:50

Be LIKE the angels or BE angels?

Be LIKE the angels or BE angels?
Couple it with what Paul plainly stated and I think the answer is obvious, be AS the angels are, Spirit, not flesh and blood

OK
Paul says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God
Christ states we will be like the angels in Heaven at the resurrection
The writer of Hebrews states, angels are SPIRIT messengers

But despite the fact flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God and despite the fact the angels in Heaven are purely Spirit(according to the writer of Hebrews) Christ who is higher than the angels and reigns now in Heaven and on earth dwells in a body of flesh and blood.
Have I stated your belief acurately?
I said He's got a body. Jesus said He's got a body. You don't have to take my word on it.
But you WILL have to take His word on it.

Mark, Jesus has a renewed body in Heaven. He remains God/Man.

Trax, being made in God's Image doesn't necessarily mean that he had a physical body. We can be made in his image in more ways than just the physical. In the Garden of Eden he walked with Adam but it doesn't mention God having a human body. Where is your evidence for Jesus having a human body from the beginning of time? Thanks

Does Christ now dwell in a body of flesh and blood?

Mark, I've thought this through more, discussed the topic with trusted Christian friends, some of who are pastors, and I choose to remain in my belief that Jesus Christ is both God and Man in Heaven, to this day and forever more.

So Christ needs blood to sustain him/keep him alive in Heaven obviously, for Otherwise he would not dwell in a body of flesh and blood

The Bible don't say what kind of body. But Jesus said He had a body and it is written:
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
He went up with a body and coming back with a body and we going to get one just like it.
To say He's not got one, is to call Him a liar. Spirits don't need physical things like the New
Jerusalem and a new earth. But they going to be there one day. You hung up on an issue
that is going against other scriptures.

Mark, I don't fully understand the Bible but I choose to believe what it says. It's important to study the Bible but I will never fully understand God.

Have you first hand knowledge that when Christ ascended into Heaven at the ascension, he entered Heaven EXACTLY inh the form he left this earth?

Body as you understand it of flesh and blood is what I certainly do not accept, for otherwise Christ obviously needs blood to sustain him/keep him alive in Heaven, to me that is ridiculous

Jesus IS the life. He doesn't need anything to sustain Him, because He is the One who sustains
eveything else.

It doesn't say a body of flesh and blood but the word 'body' indicates something physical. Why? Because he chose too.

I don't mean you Tintin, but others accuse me of lessening the person of who Christ is with my views, yet I do not believe Christ is dependant on blood to keep him alive in Heaven, nor therefore do I believe Christ exists in a body of flesh and blood , and scripoture does not state he does. I respect your right to your opinion, but to me ,such a notion is ridiculous, and I am just being honest

He has flesh and bones. Flesh and blood shall never inherit the Kingdom of God.

So you believe Christ dwells in Heaven in a body of flesh and bones but no blood? Is that human flesh?

There is one God and there can only be one God. Nothing can exist on God's level but God.
God came down to our level. We were created with a body and the Son came into the
world like one of us. He came out of the tomb with a body and He went into heaven with it.
He created that body and He can go anywhere He wants to with it. And we going to get a new
body, otherwise God would have stop creation with angels. But He didn't. He created an earth
and man. There is a reason for this, because angels can't be redeemed, but man can.
He's going to create a NEW earth, why? For the same reason He created the FIRST earth,
for physical bodies to live on.

I repeat, how do you know Christ entered Heaven with the same body he had when he arose from the tomb?
Do you believe once Christ had been reaised to life he could have been put to death again in the body?

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of Heaven
Christ does not dwell in Heaven in a persishable body of flesh and blood
