Here's two websites exposing the HRM (Hebrew Roots Movement)
Signs of Heresies are but not limited to: A redefinition of Biblical terms to fit their heretical doctrines, they teach righteousness is attained by keeping the Law (Torah), they deny the Deity of or diminish Who Jesus Christ is, they repeat the Big Lie told by the Serpent in Genesis 3, they oppose Paul's writings, deny the triune nature of God revealed in the Scriptures, etc. (to say the least) lies from the pit of hell yet they deny hell even exists...

Refusing to love the truth that they might be saved... (2Thessalonians 2:10-12)

hey hermanodaniel:)
we certainly hear a variation of this a lot from the little gapper-gang that could....

"Those who pursue the observance of Old Covenant Law often tell Christians that once they become aware that they should be ‘keeping’ the Law (according to Law keeping teachings), that they are then accountable to that ‘truth’, and if they choose to not keep Feasts, Days, and dietary laws, that they are in willful disobedience to God, because sin is the transgression of the Law. Then they will throw out Hebrews 10:26-27 as a passage to convince believers in Christ that willful sin, whether it be not keeping Feasts, days, or dietary laws or just run-of-the-mill regular sins . . . well, there is no sacrifice left for you, right? They rarely will come right out and tell you that unless you keep Old Covenant Law that you’ll either lose your salvation or you’re not really saved, but that is the clear implication"

thank for keeping this issue up front.
what seems harmless leads right to the very thing Heb 6 warns about.

amen however many are still not aware of these sects and many have been influenced by these sects in one way or another. The Body of Christ is growing daily but so are the deceived and New believers need to be aware of these sects.

Why don't you step outside of your accusatory rhetoric and SPECIFICALLY CITE an example of where something I write pertains to being made righteous by the law? Please cite this "variation" that you allude to?

Righteousness is found via abiding in Jesus Christ and not through any external work or works done apart from a faith that works by love (ie. walking in truth). The faith of Christ is that of a faith that is fully yielded to God via which the righteousness of God is manifested through a believer. Faith in Christ is being fully persuaded in who He is whereby one thus abides (walking in the light).

Abraham was persuaded in his mind and thus trusted and yielded to God. Noah was persuaded in his mind and thus trusted and yielded to God. This was the faith by which God reckoned them both as righteous. They both did the right thing because they truly believed God. Likewise we who call Jesus "Lord, Lord" truly believe in Him and His teachings and are thus doers of His words as opposed to be hearers only.

Oh I agree. Not bashing it. Just saying there are alot of others out there just as dangerous we should also speak against.. And they call themselves the church!! (which would make them even more dangerous)

Honestly if one believes Keeping the Commandments and having Faith in the Messiah is harmful to anyone they need to seek the Truth that will set them free.

This is who the war is made with it can not be lies from the "pit"..

One will be dead in their sin if they do not have Faith in the Messiah.

One must be born of the Holy Spirit.

Extremes create extremes. Grace only preaching creates a vacuum.
Which creates works preaching. Both are wrong alone.

yet one can believe in the messiah, and STILL think they have to be good enough to enter heaven. This and all the works that are added on top of this. This is when it gets dangerous

I have a fallen freind who has slipped into the 119 ministies. Was surprising to me in that he went to Evangel University that he would be swept up in this sect/cult.

In his lastest posts, he has tried to use Zechariah 14 as proof we will be living under the law.

Also claims the Torah to be instructions to go back to when God instructed Adam so therefor the Torah came before the promise and is never exciled.

Would love to hear Zone's and EG's thoughts on this.

I just read zech 14. I see NOTHING about going back to the torah. Can you tell me exactly what your firend says in this passage which makes him think this?

As far as is it true or not. No one has ever been saved by the torah. EVER. so why would God all of a sudden make salvation dependent on something he has NEVER enforced on any man since the beginning of time?

The Hebrew Roots Movement is basically saying scripture is scripture, it comes from God. When that is made into something wrong, it just can't be true.

God says it isn't true. Christ is a manifestation of God, not separate but one with the Father. He tells us clearly how He changed our world, and that change did not include wiping out the law. Christ says so.

We are to study all scripture, scripture tells us so.

All scripture is one unit, if we see that one disagrees with another, it is up to us to gain more understanding, not for the scriptures to be disregarded or labeled untrue.

God created a race, (the Hebrews) to explain Himself to us, it is up to us to learn how, not to do as Luther decided, to say all of Israel was not for us but all wrong. We are to learn from scripture.

Within a hundred years after the resurection, many of this misunderstanding of how God tells us of Himself in the OT began, as man tried to understand the gentile and Jew question. God does not see us as basically gentile and Jew, God sees us as His creation, and the Jew as created to learn about Him. If we get stuck into criticizing the Jew for the many things he has done wrong, we are not seeing how God is teaching us. We are to follow what God is teaching us through the Jews, not only get stuck in thinking of what we can criticize them for. That is up to God.

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. [SUP]17 [/SUP]If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain. [SUP]18 [/SUP]If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lord[SUP][b][/SUP] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. [SUP]19 [/SUP]This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

the Festival of Tabernacles is what is was referring to. There were some others i dont recall, Zecharaih just happen to be the book I read of his post.

My thoughts are when some have fallen into sin, their pride looks for excuses.
Some type of legalism tells them it was the lawless freedom lie that got them and they buy it.
They most likely never walked in the Spirit with trust. And the law speaks to the flesh and
they mistake pride for spiritual power. Works take the place of faith.

take everything but the offerings.. remove the offerings since there will be no more offerings. I think this is what the prophet was saying. they will come and worship God. Jesus is the offering, and it is him they will worship.

I do not think he is talking about going up and offering animal sacrifices.. I think this is just assumed by many people.

Lev 23:
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, [SUP]34 [/SUP]“Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord. [SUP]35 [/SUP]On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. [SUP]36 [/SUP]For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.

I think there will be a sacred assembly. But no burnt offerings..The burnt offering has been fulfilled in Christ.

it is like the passover meal, has been replaced by the Lords supper.. We still do it. Just not the same, and for different reasons.
