It shows enormous ignorance of the Word of God, Yeshua, to have to ask about whether or not we should pray to saints or to ask those who sleep to pray for us.

Daniel and John were both told not to bow to the Angel of the Lord or do obeissance to him, because he said I am a servant too do not do that, worship God. If the Angel of the Lord says this and knows this, how much more the true saints and Mary, the greatest blessed of all woman, know this.

Do not insult the family in Jesus Christ, not the Mother of His Flesh, nor the family in His Blood. Keep your papist traditions taught as commandment from God, they are blasphemy and apostasy.

As for the catholic rosary, it is like the pagans making long prayers and repeating words rote, neither understanding what they are saying nor understanding the Word.

Worship God, believe the One Who died for your sins. Yeshua is Lord, amen

That was already pointed out in the bold text.

There is no biblical evidence for it. There were no such tradition regarding Moses or the Prophets, nor of John the Baptist. All such addresses are to God and Christ alone. Even if Mary is indeed the Mother of our Lord there is no instruction that we should ask her to pray for us there in heaven.
But why do you say that they are "of quite some importance" as opposed to not, is what I was asking.
We will never agree because we believe that Christ is not restricted to talking to us through the Bible only. This belief, to me, is absurd because there are so many translations around these days that it is hard to say which is the true translation. Christ is not restricted to a book, mate. He has spoken through other means aswell, and you would have to be underestimating the power of God to think that He speaks to us only through the Holy Bible. We're never going to agree. But that doesn't mean that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. Be honest, tribesman. God bless

Luke 11

11 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Give us day by day our daily bread.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
[SUP]13 [/SUP]If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Follow the One that brings Truth and Grace and be counted faithful.

You are defending your tradition of men because you make a big issue out of saying there's a huge difference as to pray to somebody and worship somebody. This you do to justify your self chosen commandments and traditions of men.

This made sound pious but at the end of the day it makes no sense. Either we must accept the scriptures of divine inspiration and sufficient for belief and practice or we don't. If we don't, then we will get into some other religion and ultimately apostasy. Mormons reasons exactly like you do, so does many new age people. It makes no sense. Though I am with you on the problem of the translations, it is not an issue in itself, "which bible", since we all have the hebrew/aramaic and greek original texts to work with. And I am NOT saying that anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. So that is a false insinuation. I am saying that some of the traditions of the RCC are off base on several accounts. And what do you mean with "be honest"? Are you accusing me for being dishonest? About what?

Alrighty, I'm now going to explain the Holy Rosary so you understand how Paganistic it is lol.

The Holy Rosary in its entirety recalls twenty events (otherwise known as "mysteries" because of their sublimity) in the lives of Jesus and Mary that each teach a lesson in faith and virtue. These mysteries are divided into four groups of five. The first is the Joyful Mysteries (because of their joyous nature), which are:
1- The Annunciation (The visit of Angel Gabriel to Mary)
2- The Visitation (The visit of Mary to Elizabeth)
3- The Nativity or our Lord (The birth of Christ)
4- The Presentation of the baby Jesus in the Temple
5- The Feeding of the Child Jesus in the Temple.
Virtues exemplified by this mystery are the desire to be always in the presence of God.

Now, the Luminous Mysteries:
1- The Baptism of Jesus
2- The Wedding at Cana
3- The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and the Call to Repentance
4- The Transfiguration
5- The Institution of the Eucharist (The Last Supper)

Sorrowful Mysteries:
1- The Agony in the Garden
2- The Scourging at the Pillar
3- The Crowning with Thorns
4- The Carrying of the Cross
5- The Crucifixion on Mount Calvary

The Glorious Mysteries:
1- The Resurrection
2- The Ascension
3- The Descent of the Holy Spirit
4- The Assumption of the Virgin Mary
5- The Coronation of the Virgin Mary

Simply repeating prayers certainly never gets anybody into Heaven, champ. The Holy Rosary is NOT about repetitive words. It is about Praying and meditating on the lives of the two greatest persons in history. Meditating on the deeds of the Lord is certainly and action praised by Scripture (Ps. 77:12; St. Luke 1:49). Catholics have, for almost eight centuries, obtained many spiritual and temporal benefits from the faithful recitation of the Holy Rosary and know that, together with their Baptism, faith in Christ and obeying the Ten Commandments, it will help get them to Heaven. Notice I said HELP!!

Now, point out the paganism in all this please, brother. OOPS! I mean, person. (I forgot you don't see me as a brother. I'm sorry)

Jeremiah 44

Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, 16As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee. 17But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.18But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine. 19And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
The people here believed they were better off when they did this evil thing.

Self chosen commandment? Like which? How do you know what I believe? WHo do you think you are to try and tell me what I'm trying to justify? You're entitled to your opinion, champ, but watch where you go with it. I live only for the Lord and live every second of my life making every decision I make trying to do do what He wants me to do. You make yourself out to be so self-righteous, mate, but you don't have it all worked out. Trust me.

lol How does my comment on the Bible translation issue not make sense? How many people out there, who go by Scripture alone, fully understand the Hebrew and Aramaic and Greek original texts? How many of them are going by their own translation? Do you understand the original texts and have a full understanding of the traditions back then and context in which things were written? Are you telling me that you COMPLETELY understand the Bible and every message God intended for us? What I said makes absolute sense. All YOU do is put a few fancy words together to make my point sound irrelevant. To go by Scripture alone would be foolish. To think you have it all worked out would be foolish. And to accuse people of another faith of being misled when you yourself don't fully understand the faith you speak about, brother, is foolish. lol

And about the "be honest" thing, I was just throwing it back at you from when you threw it at me lol No harm intended. Just a joke. Peace, I love you Brother! God bless

If you had Faith in the Messiah you would Keep the Commandments of God.

Obeying and making His words your foundation is not 'enough' for you all then?

This is a sad state of affairs.

The Master, Yeshua, teaches us not to be as the pagans, who, for their multitude of words, believe they are heard, rather, to say...and He continued to give us the gift of what you call the Our Father. This is a taught prayer from our Savior, Himself, to be prayed once when felt necessary, and most importantly with understanding. It is not to be repeated over and over as did the pagans. The rosary in itself is apostetic to this teaching.............If you are going to talk to our Father in the name of Jesus, at least understand what you are saying.

As for designating when Christ was presented, etc, God already knows this.

John 12

[SUP]46 [/SUP]I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
[SUP]47 [/SUP]And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
[SUP]48 [/SUP]He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
[SUP]49 [/SUP]For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
[SUP]50 [/SUP]And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Do not let the tradition of man keep you in darkness, come out and seek the Light, the Truth that will set you free.

loveme1, you always bring up these points that make absolutely no sense in relation to my comments. When did I say that I needed the Rosary to help me keep the Ten Commandments? If only you knew how deep my faith in God goes, sister, then you wouldn't say such things. God bless you, all the same

Hey just one point on the celibacy of priests (and nuns for that matter), these couple of verses from 1 Corinthians might've had something to do with the Church's decision. Not for sure, just saying maybe. Maybe they were taking advice from the Bible? And a good reason it would've been.

1 Corinthians 7:32-34

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]32 [/SUP]But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord—how he may please the Lord. [SUP]33 [/SUP]But he who is married cares about the things of the world—how he may pleasehis wife. [SUP]34 [/SUP]There is[SUP][a][/SUP] a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband.

We are told
celibacy is good, but also in other verses, so is marriage. No where are we told in the Bible that to be a teacher and leader of men one must be celibate. In fact Peter was married? if you are called to it it is wonderful but it not a law. Man has taken verses, often out of context and made them law. Which is sad and has led to rotten fruit...and impossible to follow. God Bless, <><

Sorry if this offends, but I have to say it. It reminds me of the Jews standing at the western wall, reciting prayers into mid air. That's not a personal relationship, it's a vain repetitious prayer.

Sigh....the Hail Mary recitation is what we talked about. It is a tradition of MEN, which you follow. I didn't say anything, not one word, about how you live your life on a daily basis. Sorry to say, but I am not that interested about it, we are discussing Bible here OK. And you should watch it yourself and be very careful with your assumptions and what you put into the words of other people.

You make yourself out to be so self-righteous, mate, but you don't have it all worked out. Trust me.
And you are falsely accusing me here of being self righteous. You say "mate", but are you really a friend? Your many smiles and laughs aside, I have yet to see it. I do see a lot of pride in your stance for catholicism tho.

lol How does my comment on the Bible translation issue not make sense? How many people out there, who go by Scripture alone, fully understand the Hebrew and Aramaic and Greek original texts? How many of them are going by their own translation? Do you understand the original texts and have a full understanding of the traditions back then and context in which things were written? Are you telling me that you COMPLETELY understand the Bible and every message God intended for us? What I said makes absolute sense.
I don't claim to understand all scripture and seeing all the depths of the original texts. That was not the issue. The issue is that RCC has a few traditions not to be found in the Bible (OT plus NT) nor among the traditions of God's covenant people.

All YOU do is put a few fancy words together to make my point sound irrelevant. To go by Scripture alone would be foolish. To think you have it all worked out would be foolish. And to accuse people of another faith of being misled when you yourself don't fully understand the faith you speak about, brother, is foolish. lol
These are nothing but your own words, from your point of view, no back up for anything. The "few fancy words" you talk about are scripture AND the lack of same in some RC traditions.

And about the "be honest" thing, I was just throwing it back at you from when you threw it at me lol No harm intended. Just a joke. Peace, I love you Brother! God bless
OK. But I was not joking. I am saying RCs should admit that some of their teaching and tradition is non-biblical, and most of them do. I guess there's a not a whole lot of peace between us, but have a good day, mate! Need to go. Cheers.
