I love York.... but that weather sounds like Texas...minus the occasional tornado or dust storm...

Are you talking about our York or do you have a York too.

Our York is fascinating it is original an old Roman town complete with walled city.
Love going there it's not far from me. I would love to live there but it is expensive
so I just satisfy my love of history by popping on a bus every so often for a visit. :)

Ps the river side regularly got flooded even with just a bit of rain, but
they seem to have taken action over that now.

York is one of the nicest places I've been

If you ever do go there, pay close attention in the town centre, you might spot plenty of feline decorations

I have. I have no memories of the roads but the "Welcome to" sign and the "Welcome to Illinois" sign at the end of the highway. To me that means they're reasonable roads.
Indiana don't make roads correctly, they go the cheap way. so it ends up all pitted up rough road really quick

It's been said that the Brits are obsessed by the weather, yes it's
true!

I just wondered if anyone else was, do you complain as much about the
weather as we do? :D

So here is the crazy Yorshire weather for today.

8.30am brilliant blinding sunshine and blue skies.

11.00am ish - dark clouds, rain, hail stones the size of large peas.

12.45pm ish - snow, yes you heard correct snow, blizzard in fact and it started
to lay.

2pm ish - back to sunshine again.

2.30 - rain by the bucket load.

18.38 - as we speak brilliant dazzling sunshine
Sounds like Virginia we get a lot of diverse weather also hour to hour at times as well.

In my view I think people mostly talk about the weather because its pretty much a neutral topic to start with for it covers and affects everyone in different ways including physically and socially and spiritually.
