It's been said that the Brits are obsessed by the weather, yes it's
true!

I just wondered if anyone else was, do you complain as much about the
weather as we do? :D

So here is the crazy Yorshire weather for today.

8.30am brilliant blinding sunshine and blue skies.

11.00am ish - dark clouds, rain, hail stones the size of large peas.

12.45pm ish - snow, yes you heard correct snow, blizzard in fact and it started
to lay.

2pm ish - back to sunshine again.

2.30 - rain by the bucket load.

18.38 - as we speak brilliant dazzling sunshine
Yesterday -- 80's.

Last night -- buckets and lightning. (It rained hard enough that it looked like one of those desktop waterfalls on the windows. Couldn't even look out the windows. I think that was the third time that's happened since we moved into this house in 1991.)

Today -- Supposed to go up to 65 (just right), but it's going to have to hurry, since it's late afternoon and only 57.

But it's springtime still here, so we expect this.

I usually only check the weather if I'm going out. Used to be we only went out 1-3 times a week, and 3 was rare. (I don't think going out back into the garden is really "going out." No dressing up needed, and my weather forecast is as quick as "Open door. Check." So it doesn't count.)

But now that I'm go-out-every-day girl, I've become obsessed. Today is a great example. Went to see John early, because I had errands to do (get more soil for the garden, mostly), so how do you dress when it's chilly in the morning but supposed to be room temp by noon? I went with long pants, long sleeves, no sweater.

Potting soil means I went shopping at a garden center, so it was outside. Shopping at garden center outside during the first week of "garden season" means lines. CHILLY! The checkout woman was wearing a jacket and asking her coworker if she could go to her car to get handwarmers. Meanwhile, I'm without even a sweater. I guessed wrong. lol

But, I'm going for the house record for NOT turning on the air. (No one to share a fan with, so I can last longer.) Yesterday my weather app said today was one freaky cold day in between two hot weeks. We were supposed to be in the 70's or 80's all last week and all the upcoming week. One cold front moves in, and suddenly all those 80's I saw coming up are 60's and 70's. IF I trusted the app, I might get a swelled head and think I'm breaking that house record. BUT, it's springtime, so no such confidence. (Hope. Planting season is so much more comfortable in room temps than in the 80's and 90's.)

And this is how Americans complain about the weather. We complain more about the forecast than the weather itself. lol

It has to be asked. How do you get all those people to do that if everyone is protesting to city hall about the weather? Do you import people? (And I would have picked whichever country your country uses for jokes, but I don't know which country that is. We pick on the Polish. lol)

Whats to complain about with Florida Weather. Always nice at the beach with a quick afternoon shower to take a nap. Sometimes we get rain for days, but that's simply God cleansing the earth for us to stay green. I LOVE FLORIDA!!!!
Humidity. I've only been in Florida twice, and only for a matter of hours. (Getting from the airport to the cruise ship and then getting from the cruise ship to the airport. lol) Both times it was so humid, I had this feeling I was being waterboard. When I stepped outside, I had to remind my lungs it's only air so I can breathe it. They literally stopped, until I reminded them.

And I'm from Jersey, so I know humid!

I'm happy and loving my current weather!! It's currently 70 degrees and sunny. Praying for great weather this Saturday, ,y twins have prom.
Just so I know which way to pray -- guys in tuxes or gals in sleeveless dresses?

When I went to Dad's wedding, I found this adorable sleeveless gown to wear. Adorable, until I woke up that morning to another blizzard in Syracuse, and the high that day (March -- it's supposed to be relatively warm in March) was 0!

So, I no longer assuming on which way to pray for weather. lol

Hail and thunderstorm ripped thru our town yesterday.
But this morning in the calm.
All the birds are playing and singing a chorus unlike I ever heard.
It's quite beautiful.
I'm very thankful for it :)
Got pictures?

Well according to the BBC weather app it is currently 3 degrees C or
37F where I am and it definately feels it.

I just turned the central heating up and put it on so it comes on all night.
My aunt just asked for an extra quilt. :(

Your cold temperatures are our usual Spring early summer temperatures.
If it gets up to 80 we melt :)

Whaaat, b..but what do you mean, you don't get rain. Gob smacked :)
Some of the oldest people in my church have spoken of rain. They say it has rained here. Rain is when water falls out of the sky. I am hoping before I die to witness this event.

Here in the state of Minnesota, if you're not talking about the weather you're talking about the road conditions, because anything else is too personal :D.

There's a little saying here: "don't like the weather? that's ok. Wait five minutes."

So cold on the guy's side of the prom, but warm on the gal's side? Good idea!

Next we pull out the yardstick so they know how far apart they should be dancing "together." lol

Yeah, but the only thing that changes in MN is one day in August it isn't bitter cold and snowing. lol

Dad's side of the family live in the snowbelt region of NY -- upstate NY. Whenever I talked to them in summer, I had to ask how much snow was left. The first few times, there was a pause, while they wrapped their heads around the question, but toward the end, they'd answer, before I asked, "Only 3 feet left." lol

Is there any place in Jolly Old that doesn't rain 300 days a year? That's where I'd like to live, (unless it rains 360 days instead.)

I watched a series about gardens in England and I kept wondering how they filmed outside and it wasn't rainy and wet every time. (I was also annoyed everyone seemed so causal as they mentioned the scientific names for the plants. What's wrong with simply calling it "a fern?" I liked some of the plants, but I can't order them here, simply because we go with normal names for the plants -- daisy, clematis, not twadlig hepnatious flibiberlious. A what? Looked like a honeysuckle to me. lol)

I went to England once for a week.
It rained the whole week.
What are we complaining here?
