How would you catch a mouse if one was in your house. Someone said, they would use a shotgun. any nice ways, maybe a trap or a box with a soft blanket, they might take a nap, and then you could zap it, or make it your pet....

A shotgun in the house?? Wouldn't that ruin your home more than the mouse would? lol

I have a cat. He isn't very good at killing mice, but he's excellent at catching them. What happens is he'll catch the mouse and play with it, then, when the mouse plays dead, I grab a bowl and a magazine and catch it and let it outside, far away from the house. :)

The cat we had before him was not so funny with mice. He was a killer. I think I prefer the kinder alternative. :D lol

Freshman year we had a mouse in our dorm room. We knew where it was coming in; there was a gap in the back of my roommate's closet that led into the closet of the room next door. Anyway, we set up the old fashioned hunter's trap; we tilted a shoebox up against a stick, then tied the stick to a piece of cracker.

About an hour later we heard the shoebox fall and we had our mouse!

We put him in a big container thinking to keep him as a pet...but he was just too freaked out. He kept throwing himself up against the walls of the container all night. Guess he just wasn't meant to be in captivity. We let him go in the dumpster outside.

Here at school, we don't have the ability to have cats; mice are a nuisance here along with rats. A Peanut butter mouse trap is the best way to do it. Seriously, those things reproduce faster than rabbits do.

We used to have a mouse that liked to hide in our toaster and eat the crumbs out of that crumb tray that toasters have... We never saw the mouse, only its poop. And yes, it was disgusting. Oh, and here's an even more fun story....I've found mouse poops in our silverware drawer. Never have I disinfected so many utensils....*shudder*..

This was during our 4-year catless period after our other 2 cats died.

Now that we have a cat again, mice don't hide in our toaster or drawers. :p Best mouse repellent we've ever had. More effective than traps too.

For people allergic to cats, there are some dog breeds that will do the job. Most terriers will hunt mice, as they are bred for it. ;) (Muahaha!)
