Every time I try to remember my past and even what just happened to me recently i feel like i guess somebody really successfully cursed me. I remember a relative back in my younger days whom I had a terrible fight told my parents that she cursed me and I will not be successful in anything that I'll do, but I didn't believe it, specially now that I found Christ...and after now that seems like everything I do really seems like so difficult to put together, I always fail..There are even times when I keep asking God why all these really bad things are happening to me like its only bad doors of opportunities are opened for me and nothing good, and if there is one good I found it disappears quickly leaving me like wandering again. It's been like this since college..like I lost my big time job then i managed to moved on , many attempted rape cases which i was able to escape, unexplained sickness and brokeness I managed to resolve and until now...Considering, If curses are true and it's working in me how will end it...Why is it God is allowing these things I didn't even initiated on the first place to happen for I know the consequences but they just came to me and continuosly pursuing me like a wind I sensed and see the pattern even if I've already asked forgiveness for all pasts sins...Please help...:(

If their is any curse on my sister Dreda, I break it now in the Name of Jesus. "Jesus, please fill Dreda with Your love. Bless her as much as You are willing to, Sir. Let her know how much You love her and care for her and want her to know You closer. Touch her with Your holiness and keep her safe and secure. In Your name, Amen".

Curses are easy to break in my experience. I'm 100% sure that I've angered people into the occult in my lifetime by telling them they were deceived by the devil and needing to come out of that filth and into the REAL LIGHT of JESUS and that they have acted against me as a result... lol.

All you have to do is renounce all curses in the name of Jesus Christ if you feel spiritual oppression (not to be confused with an emotional state). I always also ask God to remove anything evil the devil has brought against me and to thwart any plans the enemy has for me.

It's also desirable to deal with the emotional and life issues if there are addictions, mistreatment, etc...

People go to Christian recovery self-help groups like Celebrate Recovery, seek Christian counseling, and also attend Sozo, etc...

Amen. Praying! I just break that childhood trauma in the name of Jesus. By the power of your blood Jesus, break all curses that was spoken over Dreda. Fill her with Your love and peace. Dreda, don't allow that curse that was spoken over you to keep you in fear. Jesus paid the price for your freedom. I also pray that your aunt comes to know the Lord. I used to dabble in the occult (I never cursed anybody) but I've had someone speak a curse over me before, and when I came to know the Lord, I saw the power of God over witchcraft. God is much more powerful. All these demons cower at the name of Jesus. His name is powerful. Every curse that has been spoken over you is now broken by the blood of Jesus. God created the world with a word, and we know by God's Word that He has spoken a blessing over your life, and everything God speaks comes to pass. No demon, no witch has power over God. Walk in the blessing, Dreda! You are a free woman!

You're not cursed. A victim of demonic influence, but not cursed. A break through will come if you don't give up. The remnants of someone cursing you, the memory of it, is a tool of the Devil to dissuade you from believing that you are capable of being saved or advancing in this world. It's bull. The truth is Jesus is bigger than anything any one's ever told you in anger. Jesus said if you believe in Him you WILL be saved, and healed. He didn't say you might be. Say it out loud. GET ANGRY AT IT! Tell the negativity to go away. It has no control over you as you are washed in the blood of Christ. Claim victory in Jesus name.

It's important to determine what you are dealing with dreda. People tend to spiritualize everything for some reason.

The truth is that people can have mental health issues, emotional issues, physical issues, spirititual issues, etc...

They are treated differently. Physical health issues are usually treated by modern medicine (e.g. doctors and hospitals) and by healing prayer. Emotional issues (that result from mistreatment and whatnot like you have experienced) are often dealt with in counseling and self-help groups. Mental health issues are usually addressed by Christian counseling and psychiatry if necessary. Spiritual issues are best handled not by isolating or relying on an internet forum but by interacting with genuine Chrisitans in community who pray with you, for you, and exercisie their gifting on your behalf.

With Jesus as your savior and the Holy Spirit inside you, I don't believe you can be cursed. If you are like me, sometimes you just have to be careful of what you are thinking about. I struggled really bad, and still have to be careful of what I think about. Praise is the very best solution. The Bible says in everything give thanks. You don't have to be thankful for bad things, just be thankful in bad things. Look at Paul and Silas, they praised God in the prison and God freed them and everyone else in there as well. Praise brakes through when nothing else can. So does prayer. Look at the walla of Jericho. They are many many instances in the Bible where we see that simple praise and prayer can break through all the things that clutter our mind. One last thing, we have to remember that God is not constrained by our time table. He may take a our lifetime to create the exact moment and purpose has has created us for. Many examples of that as well. Joseph, Moses, Abraham, Paul and many more. Just stay and the Word, stay and prayer, and praise God all the time.

You are right in the middle of God's great plan for your life.
Blessings to you

2 Timothy 3:10-12 10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Satan hates you for being a Christian. He is able to send all types of characters your way to impress you and get you to believe you're really cursed. The devil would do anything to get you to believe this and give up. This could also be a trial of your faith, for the sake of your spiritual growth. There's probably not a one of us who hasn't had a series of calamities happen to us to get us to draw closer to God. So don't give up, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world

You need to ask God to release you from truth based lies. Those are lies that you have bought hook, line and sinker. The mind is really really powerful. If you have what she said stuck in your head and you have believed it of course its affecting your life. (who knows the bible verse where it talks about how you are what you think? its not coming to me) Have you asked God to come into your heart as your personal savior? And I learned some stuff from all you good folks on this thread so thanks :D

The rain falls on the righteous and the evil, God is no respector of persons, and is very patient and longsuffering, not wanting anyone to perish but all to come to repentance!

I cant explain why you think you are cursed, is surely isnt Gods fault, you must come clean before Him in repentance, seek His mercy, and cleanse your heart and mind of all past sins and things that happened to you.

He wont do it for you but will give you all you need in Him, to walk and live the crusified life, in all purity, sincerity and faith!

The crucified life and what it looks like!
Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.
Gal 5:24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let also walk in the Spirit.
Rom 6:6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.
When it comes to a true saving faith (obedience) there is no point going further until you understand what it means to be crucified with Christ!
You can argue night and day about the Sabbath, Baptism, Pagan holidays, the rapture, head coverings etc., and miss the most important issue of all, and that is have you actually crucified your flesh with Christ, through real repentance and faith(obedience)once and for all in reality?
Or have you bought into the great lie of deception being taught today by the army of false teachers who have either been duped themselves, or are under the great delusion sent by God!
2Th 2:10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
IF you are still in bondage to sins of the flesh, and I am talking about willful rebellious sin, done presumptuously in hate, guile, malice, anger, or lust, then you did not crucify your flesh with Christ.
This is not a process, that takes place over time, or a symbolic occurrence that took place when you said the sinner’s prayer and then trusted Jesus did it all, and in Him you are crucified in position, because He obeyed for you, because you cannot possible crucify your flesh in your own ability.
Apart from real repentance, and a working faith in love, where you must crucify your flesh with Christ, then you are in danger and must do your first works, repent, and come to a saving faith.
Thus a real crucified convert will look like this:
Walking in newness of life!
Departed from iniquity!
Obedient to the truth!
Loving not the world!
Loving neighbor as self!
Putting God first and foremost!
Abstaining from all forms of evil!
Lover of the truth!
Contending earnestly for the pure word!(truth)
Keeping himself undefiled and unspotted from the world!
Guarding his heart above all things!
An overcomer through the blood of Christ!
Living soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age!
Having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness!
Departing or departed from the lukewarm church who promotes the lie! (Saved IN sin, Romans wretch, chief of sinners, faith alone, substitution aka imputation, OSAS, etc).
A doer of God’s word and not a hearer only!

Jesus said,
Joh 8:51 Truly, truly, I say to you, If a man keeps My Word, he shall never see death.
Joh 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Joh 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

To be crucified with Christ as you can see is a very serious matter, you cannot be IN sin and IN Christ at the same time, they don’t mix, and not getting this right will make the difference between heaven or hell, God has given all mankind a choice, and a way out of bondage to sin, and the world.

2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you grieved to repentance. For you were grieved according to God, so that you might suffer loss by nothing in us.
2Co 7:10 For the grief according to God works repentance to salvation, not to be regretted, but the grief of the world works out death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this same thing (you being grieved according to God); how much it worked out earnestness in you; but also defense; but also indignation; but also fear; but also desire; but also zeal; but also vengeance! In everything you approved yourselves to be clear(PURE) in the matter.

Jesus came to set mankind free, see John 8-32, but He didn’t come to be your substitute, in any way, shape or form, or to crucify Himself for you, He came to save us from our sins, through repentance and faith (obedience) where we crucify the flesh once and for all!

It’s not about perfection, it’s not about not needing Jesus, it’s not about being self-righteous or bragging I did it myself, etc.,, but it’s about, humility, brokenness, sacrifice, and a passion and zeal to count the cost, and come before the mercy seat in complete surrender and with a crisis of conviction, that leads to real godly sorrow, where the sin stops, and the flesh is crucified and put to death once and for all!

The crucified life then is a life on the narrow road, following Jesus as He commanded by denying self-daily, and taking up your cross and living a life pleasing to Him, walking IN the spirit, where you will not give any provision for the flesh!

Gal 5:16 I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary to one another; lest whatever you may will, these things you do.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The crucified life is living a dynamic life of faith (obedience) to the truth, doing what is right by choice and also a healthy fear of an all Holy God, who is very patient and longsuffering toward us all, not wanting any to die, but all to come to repentance! 2 Peter 3-9.

The Crucified life is more about obedience, than perfection, sin is missing the mark, which we all do every day, BUT, does missing the mark mean we miss by falling into porn occasionally, fornication on occasion, getting drunk in a weak moment?

Many will say yes, we all fall short, which means everything we do is as a filthy rag before God, but is this honest? Is this the truth? Does a true follower of Christ, make His or her life a life of continued hate, evil and lust?

If your life consists of a pattern of falling into the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye’s, and the pride of life, either on occasion, or on a daily basis, then you have NOT crucified your flesh with Christ, and you may be waiting for the Lord to do this for you in due time, but God is waiting for you to humble yourself, and make the right God given choice, to crucify your flesh once and for all with Him as outlined above!

PS. I get tired of professing Christians who say they cannot stop sinning (fornication, lying, cheating, hating, drunkenness, homosexuality, porn watching, idolatry, love OF the world, etc.)
Because all sin is the same, which is just a scapegoat for them to avoid the commands of God to repent, stop sinning, crucify their flesh with Him, and follow Him on the narrow road!

Remember a truly crucified heart does NOT live a life of falling occasionally into vile sins that lead to death, yes many mighty men and women of God have fallen, some found repentance some did not, BUT to say this is the normal Christian experience is a lie, and used as an excuse to feed the flesh, and not use all the tools God has given us to resist temptation, overcome sins of the flesh, and put the flesh to death in repentance.

We all will be judged just how God finds us, not in perfection, but in living a life above the flesh and its evil desires, walking in purity, sincerity, and love and faith (obedience). Faults, mistakes, poor judgments, sins of ignorance, misplaced zeal, missing the mark in these areas are not sins leading to death, but can be when they lead us into any guile, hate, envy, lust and pride, that is why we must walk the crucified life, and be very sensitive to all our faults and mistakes, confess them to God, and grow more in the likeness of Jesus Christ.

One is willful presumptuous sin that is total rebellion towards God, a mental decision to disobey Him, and ignore His warnings and power to find a way of escape. This leads to death, but the other does not, and will not lead to death, unless we allow it to lead to rebellion against God, and lust of the flesh, lust of the eye’s and the pride of life!
It’s simple either you are living a sincere, pure life before God, guarding your heart against willful sin and temptation, or you are not, Jesus isn't asking His followers to be as perfect and spotless as He is, BUT IS asking His followers to obey His most un burdensome commands, and stop making excuses for sin and worldliness, He wants all our attention and love, not a divided heart between the world and Him, and most importantly, a heart made pure through repentance and faith proven by deeds, where the crucified life is the abundant life unto Him! Not a life filled with self, lust, and evil thoughts and ways!

Rev 22:11 He acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly. And the filthy, let him be filthy still. And the righteous, let him be righteous still. And the holy, let him be holy still.

We will be judged on how Jesus finds us when He returns or when we die, not in perfection or living a self-righteous life, but either the crucified life in purity, sincerity, and love, OR the un crucified life of self, lust, pride, and bondage to sin and disobedience!

A Christian, one who has professed faith in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, and seeks Him in all they are and do, will be judged only through the blood of Christ who IS our substitutionary offering. If Jesus were no our substitution we would still be bound to animal sacrifice, a distant God who is only reached rough a man acting as high priest. We would be bound to sin and completely unable to live victorious over sin of at kind, willful or not. Jesus' substitutionary sacrifice is what broke our bondage to sin. It was His sacrifice that made living a righteous life possible. Without that sacrifice, we are imprisoned by our sin. Tommy, if you believe God judges us based off our crucified life, then we are utterly hopeless. It is only by a substitutionary sacrifice that we can be crucified to purity. By that believe, we are all doomed. Our little white lies are as equally offensive to our perfect God as "their" sexual immorality, malice, slander, anger, etc.
Blood was needed to purify the sinner. Lambs blood was spread over the Hebrews door posts because that blood was needed to purify their sins. God had his perfect son killed so he could judge us through his sons perfect blood. God sees all Christians through the blood of Jesus. That blood cleanses us from all sins. We live in a fallen world. We are but flesh. And the world we live in is under the power of Satan. God is redeeming all three. One day we will have perfect flesh. One day God will reign in Earth. One day the fallen world itself will be perfected. But it is not that day.

I thank God for people like you guys thank you for taking time to care...The truth is this site helped me a lot because I am emotionally down thinking about evrything that happened to me for over 10 years now the latest was just last month when my ...That span of 10 years is really unimaginable for one to survive from the pain I've been through...I admit I even almost got insane and nobody knows it...Nobody really knows the pain I was carrying so even if I struggled and might be mis interpreted for this post it's just that i couldn't take it anymore...Everytime I share in details all those things to my friends and my mom they just can't stop crying...And I don't want ot remember it anymore......It's even the main reason why I don't want to marry because of my traumas...well I'm just praying God will take me earlier because i am just sooo tired, I will be happiest if I will be in the source of my comfort and my saviour.

sweetheart that is silly (the part about him taking you early) I know that going home to heaven is what we all cant simply wait for but you cant forget to look at your life as a beautiful gift from our Lord. He put you here for a reason. One thing I have noticed with myself in these last few weeks is how when the devil tries to get Gods children to focus on themselves with self pity because it really distracts us from doing good works for God because we are so focused on ourselves. Maybe try focusing on others and helping others and it will help you focus on something other then all the bad stuff that has happened in your life.
Look you are a survivor. You were meant to be. You get up each day and you live. Our road as a child of God is very hard and we are persecuted more often then we are not but the thing of it is we are never ever alone and God always brings good to our situations in one way or another. I have come to find that my purpose is whatever Gods purpose is to me. Surrender yourself to him every single day and ask that the holy spirit live through you. Every single morning ask God to put the Armor of God over you. Ask him to give you a devil free day, thats what I do lol. It works. The more you reach for him and talk to him the more he pulls you away from yourself and your problems and he fills you with Hope and purpose. Don't give up quiet yet because God hasn't given up on you. He will continue to work on you and help you to grow and he will show you what HIS purpose is for your life. Have Hope in our Lord, always. God Bless and keep your chin up and keep on walking no matter how hard it gets. When life is really hard I know its lesson time. Sometimes it hurts real bad until we get the lesson. When a lesson is learned through trial we always always remember and learn it. Have faith that our Lord is not done with you yet.
