In a study of about 130,000 Kaiser Permanente health plan members, people who reported drinking 1-3 cups of coffee per day were 20% less likely to be hospitalized for abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) than nondrinkers, regardless of other risk factors.
And, for women, coffee may mean a lower risk of stroke.

In 2009, a study of 83,700 nurses enrolled in the long-term Nurses' Health Study showed a 20% lower risk of stroke in those who reported drinking two or more cups of coffee daily compared to women who drank less coffee or none at all. That pattern held regardless of whether the women had high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and type 2 diabetes.

Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's Diseases

“For Parkinson’s disease, the data have always been very consistent: higher consumption of coffee is associated with decreased risk of Parkinson’s,” Hu tells WebMD. That seems to be due to caffeine, though exactly how that works isn't clear, Hu notes.

Coffee has also been linked to lower risk of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. A 2009 study from Finland and Sweden showed that, out of 1,400 people followed for about 20 years, those who reported drinking 3-5 cups of coffee daily were 65% less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, compared with nondrinkers or occasional coffee drinkers.
Cancer

The evidence of a cancer protection effect of coffee is weaker than that for type 2 diabetes. But “for liver cancer, I think that the data are very consistent,” Hu says.

“All of the studies have shown that high coffee consumption is associated with decreased risk of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer,” he says. That's a "very interesting finding," Hu says, but again, it's not clear how it might work.

And for people replacing diet sodas with caffeine in them that contain aspartame, the percentage and efficiency will increase dramatically because aspartame interferes with serotonin production leading to irritability and depression.

Neurobehavioral effects of aspartame consumption. - PubMed - NCBI

1. Coffee may help fight depression...
Start your day with a smile: A joint study from the National Institutes of Health and the AARP discovered that folks who quaffed four or more cups of java a day were 10 percent less likely to be depressed than someone who didn't drink coffee at all. Oddly, the same mental-health benefits didn't extend to other caffeinated beverages — particularly cola, which was linked to a higher risk of depression (perhaps because of the high sugar content). Therefore, researchers suggest coffee's "mood-lifting effect might be traced to its antioxidants," reports Prevention.

I was eight months coffee/caffeine free. I fell off the wagon a couple of weeks ago. I needed something to look forward to in the morning. :/ It's good to know that it's good for me. One less thing.

New research shows up to six cups of coffee a day has great health benefits...try to find the report :)

Its a sin now not to drink coffee :)
you cant really listen to these scientists, Becasue they tell you one thing then tell you another down the line. To be honest they dont have a real clue of whats good for you and not. Yes some things we eat or drink will have some benefits, but to some its a desaster if one goes near it. They have a panel of tasters, and if they think its tastes nice , they will automatic think its good for the world. Later down in life you will hear stories that the very food or drink that the scientist had clamed to be good for you, isnt.

you can't 100% trust a scientist, but you can trust God by asking him to bless the food we eat and drink.

you cant really listen to these scientists, Because they tell you one thing that is good then tell you another down the line that is bad. To be honest they dont have a real clue of whats good for you and not. Yes some things we eat or drink will have some benefits, but to some its a desaster if one goes near it. They have a panel of tasters, and if they think its tastes nice , they will automatic think its good for the world. Later down in life you will hear stories that the very food or drink that the scientists had clamed to be good for you, isnt good for you. It's like these diets, you hear oh try this diet or that diet, you will be the healiest person alive, then you hear they went bankrupt or closed down because the information they told you was a load of rubbish. Sure enough some diets will work for some but not for everyone. Its all a money making goal. I could tell you that poison is good for you if you drink it only 2 times a day. people will be silly enough to believe it and pay for false information. thats how these scientist funds there lies and deceit sometimes. yes there are some good scientist and has found some break throughs, but most are to make money with a load of rubish knowing silly people will believe.

you can't 100% trust a scientist, but you can trust God by asking him to bless the food we eat and drink.
