We didnt grow up drinking coffee..it was more of milk, juices and water. Although both parents drank coffee, it seems i never really learned to appreciate it til much later, tho also in coffee flavored ice cream, etc. Since hubby seldom drank hot coffee at home before (tho at work he does), the kids didnt grow up liking it, wc i see now is a big mistake! Esp with the younger, it's been hard to introduce to more healthy and less sweet drinks aside from the milk, plain or w/ sugar as in choco milks, or oversweet juices when bought.
Not many here drink teas? I am not a good thread starter-- or continuer-- for limited time here, but i wish someone would start one on teas. Speaking of drinks, it is often abt sweet drinks, is it not? I just remembered abt some (Am.) missionaries here yrs ago. One day the lady served some powdered orange juice and i was surprised it was so sweet. I mean i like my milks plain, but juices sweet, but when i taseted her juice, it was really, really (too) sweet. I never got to ask her abt that, but for a long time thought, do they really prepare or prefer juice that sweet..?
Btw did u notice a yahoo feature why people want sweet things now? Sure they may have reasonss and researches, but i think getting used to that early has to do with it. Like before when (sweetened) formula milk wasnt that common, kids didnt like nor gorged, sorry, on sweet things that much, dont you think. Of course there are many other factors.
