Some of the 12 step literature is so clear on this point :) Even Jesus said we condemn ourselves to judge others, for we practice the very same things. And yet He also said we must first change by removing the plank from our eye first, before attempting to remove the speck from others' eyes. That must mean it is possible to leave certain character defects behind :)

I' be heard Christians moan about other people endlessly------They get along with God fine---- but not God' s kids----- any ideas---- a thread on relating properly to one another---- if you don' t answer me I will get mad and Rude...
Well I was told, Christians are the worst with getting along with others and that is mainly because Satan is constantly irritating them. It makes sense. Sinners who don't know, don't get messed with as much. Thoughts?

Everytime I read that in the bible, I think of an episode of that show 'rescue 911.' The guy who runs into the back of a lumber truck and gets a 2×4 stuck through his face.

I use to go to a church where the preacher always talked about satan is after the Christians. He said satan ain't got to worry about anyone else. The preacher said he wanted to be number 1 on satans hit list. Then this same preacher got caught cheating on his wife with a woman he was supposed to be providing marriage counseling to.

I don't think I want to be number 1 on satans hit list.

Of course. We can't have anyone dying on a late 1980s prime time TV show hosted by William Shatner.
I think the guy ended up having no permanent disability and minimal scaring.

Here is the AA lit on acceptance:

Acceptance is the answer to ALL of my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation- some fact of my life- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God's world by mistake.

More:

As we go through the day we pause, when agitated or doubtful, and ask for the right thought or action. We constantly remind ourselves we are no longer running the show, humbly saying to ourselves many times each day “Thy will be done.” We are then in much less danger of excitement, fear, anger, worry, self-pity, or foolish decisions. We become much more efficient. We do not tire so easily for we are not burning up energy foolishly as we did when we were trying to arrange life to suit ourselves.
From Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How Thousands of Men and Women Have Recovered, the so-called “AA Big Book,” 87-88. (AA World Services, Inc., New York,NY, 2001).

And still yet more:

Selfishness--self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred forms of fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, and self-pity, we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate. Sometimes they hurt us, seemingly without provocation, but we invariably find that at some time in the past we have made decisions based on self which later placed us in a position to be hurt.

So our troubles, we think, are basically of our own making. They arise out of ourselves, and the alcoholic is an extreme example of self-will run riot, though he usually doesn’t think so. Above everything, we alcoholics must be rid of this selfishness. We must, or it kill us! God makes that possible. And there often seems no way of entirely getting rid of self without His aid. Many of us had moral and philosophical convictions galore, but we could not live up to them even though we would have liked to. Neither could we reduce our self-centeredness much by wishing or trying on our own power. We had to have God’s help.
From chapter 5, How It Works, in the AA Big Book.

the REAL problem comes in when we Love others maybe a little too much???
not really, but oh Dear Jesus, sometimes when we Love others so much,
it gets us into 'trouble', BUT, because we Love You so much, you always
seem to get us OUT of said 'troubles, if we have your God-Given-Holy Spirit' within us...
AMEN!

This doesn't make for a very light burden.

I like chocolate but I honestly don't know how people can drink coffee. I've tried it before and thought it tasted horrible. Please don't hate me. :(
I honestly don't drink coffee without creamer or sugar. I've had normal coffee be fore but I prefer sugar or some kind of sweetener. That being said I love chocolate flavor coffee or vise versa. Oh, and I don't like to deal with atheists on a daily basis. I lose my temper to quickly with them. I'm either passionate about God, or a jerk lol
