I don't like birds... Had a bad experience with one. Since then, I just don't get along with them. Try to shoo them off all the time at work. Doesn't help that I've seen the movie Birds, as well.

Just be glad you don't have to deal with spiders the size of chihuahuas that have wings.......they MIGHT be real, but I'm unsure......oh, man.....maybe I shouldn't have brought this up.

My own personal funny fear.....well, I don't know if it's funny or not, but I really don't like oversized inflatable baloons. I mean, Parade baloons and stuff like that, I get it, but when it comes to something like a giant 4 story tall balloon(like the ones you see at car salesman places or something), I just feel like...."please, don't let that thing fall on me!!". I just find em freaking scary!

I also don't like giant dolls. Or full size figures that would stand outside or inside a store. The last time I felt this fear was when I went into a video store that had a bunch of them all around. It was Christmas then.....

They're also here in Texas. They call them Palmetto bugs. They have a very, very, very short lifespan when they're around me.

My son's goofy music buddy went into my kitchen, got on the floor and came s-l-o-w-l-y crawling out with his elbows turned out like an alien spider.... he had the worst insane look on his face and he was making a high-pitched noise like a deranged cricket on crack. "cheeerrrup cheeerrup" he was saying as he crawled closer to me.

That was a real No-No. I jumped off the sofa and told him I would squash him like a bug with my foot if he didn't stop it.

It was not a pretty scene. Afterwards, when my brain recovered, we all couldn't stop laughing about it. I think they laughed more than I did. :p

Okay...at first I thought this whole idea was silly, but I'm game. MY personal fear(s)? Rollercosters, until a CHristian friend of mine told me, even made it a matter of prayer, that he would ride one with me, man and man, and do whatever it would take for me to stop 'fearing" them. When it as all over, I discovered I really liked them..at age 36! I have NO fear of them to this day!

I saw another poster who was scared of birds. ME TOO. Ahhhh, oh my gosh. I'm scared of seagulls. I was walking to work the other day (since work is literally just around the corner from my apartment, I walk most days because it's summer time), and there was a group of seagulls literally 20 feet away from me.

Let's just say I was late for work simply because I couldn't even pass them because I was having a mental breakdown haha.

What changed your mind?
Why have you arbitrarily decided that you are "game" for this particular thread?
And why do you consistently try to make other people conform to your arbitrary (and apparently fickle) judgments of what is and is not "silly" or "a waste of time"?
