Yes, the bible we already know this. XD

What are some good Christian books to read? I've been told about Pilgrim's Progress. Are there any Christian books maybe for learning material or just a Christian themed book for entertainment that you could recommend to me? Thanks.
A good Christian book to read is called: Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by John and Stasi Eldredge. It gives women tools in how to be captivated by men and learn how to be the embodiment of God's Beauty. Awesome book. A must read.

None. Really. Just read the Bible and talk to Jesus. It's that simple. Man over-complicate things. This goes for me too. I need to read the Bible more, a lot more.

I'm not the biggest reader. And its hard for me to explain the type of books I tend to like. I tend to stick to "darker" books. More mellow books with tragedies that have its happier moments. I can't stand anything mainstream (no Harry Potter, Twilight, etc. etc.) but when it comes to Christian books I'm willing to try anything.

if you like " darker books" , the book dark night of the soul by st john of the cross is worth reading about stages in the spiritual journey. Many saints have experienced it, and the feeling of entering spiritual darkness and desert being tested by god, and the light at the end.
Just love the poetry too.

"On a dark night,
Inflamed by love-longing—
O exquisite risk!—
Undetected I slipped away.
My house, at last, grown still.

Secure in the darkness,
I climbed the secret ladder in disguise—
O exquisite risk!—
Concealed by the darkness.
My house, at last, grown still.

That sweet night: a secret.
Nobody saw me;
I did not see a thing.
No other light, no other guide
Than the one burning in my heart.

This light led the way
More clearly than the risen sun
To where he was waiting for me
—The one I knew so intimately—
In a place where no one could find us.

O night, that guided me!
O night, sweeter than sunrise!
O night, that joined lover with Beloved!
Lover transformed in Beloved!
"
It can be found free as a Pdf if you look around for it.
His contemporary and friend Teresa of Avila makes interesting reading too.

If you like fantasy try Dragonlance the Chronicles (The Trilogy). Waaaaaaaay better than Lord of the Rings.
