Hi, I was in a same-sex relationship for seven years before God wonderfully saved me and brought me into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Be in no doubt that God loves gay people and desires that they should have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel! In 1 Corinthians 6 verses 9-11, homosexual practice is mentioned by Paul in the same breath as slander, greed and so on. Verse 11 is my second favourite verse of the Bible (after Jeremiah 29 v 11!) Praise God for His amazing grace! :)

Hi Relena7
when i said the wrong messege,i mean you don't want people to think you are gay or that you approve of that lifestyle.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Ah, okay. This actually explains a lot.

I don't agree with that interpretation in this context, but it makes sense now why some Christians almost "boycott" being around gay people sometimes.

I should add that I often thank God for those Christians who did take time to hang out with me, welcome me into their homes, spend time getting to know me and share their lives and their faith with me. It was the quality of their lives, their truth-speaking in love and without judgement, that convinced to put my faith in Jesus Christ and to turn my back on that same-sex relationship. We should remember that Jesus was often drawn to those that the religious elite rejected and condemned...think of the woman of Samaria, the woman caught in adultery and the sinful woman at Simon the Pharisee's house. Jesus regularly ate with 'sinners', even risking his own glorious and perfect reputation...to be called a 'friend of sinners' by Jewish people was a massive insult. But Jesus knew that to save sinful people he had to spend time with them. Blessed be his precious name!

This question is based on a false dilemma. Generalizing Christians based on your experiences doesn't make for an objective conversation. While you will never see me at the pride parade I certainly encounter homosexuals very often. I don't view them as worse sinners than one who lusts, or lies. They are as equally deserving of God's wrath as all of us. It is for this reason that they receive the same gospel as the liar, the theif, the idolater, and the drunkard. While I encounter and may be acquaintances with someone of homosexual orientation I would resist close friendship with them the same way i would anyone whi is in open rebellion to God. Why? The scriptures admonish me to be in the world but not of the world, that friendship with the world is enmity with God, not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, that bad company corrupts good morals, and other admonitions. I dont offer hate or push away any lost sinner but I offer the gospel to any manner of sin.
