Revelator7 you may just be in the wrong sub-forum. From what you said in the first post in this thread, it sounds like you spent most of your time in Bible Discussions forum. That is more commonly known as the shouting forum, where a lot of people like to yell at each other and try to prove they are right and everyone else is wrong.

Come on over to the Christian Singles forum. There's more fun and less yelling over there.

i can understand where you are coming from my friend cc is a great place to be with Christians but it isnt exactly the most loving place. This is due to how popular it is, it is the second most popular and active Christian site and so lots and I mean lots of different types of ppl come one here.

However I hold a different view on how to react to all this hate and condemning nature we see, I see it as all the more reason to stay so we can be a living testimony of what it means to be a Christian and how to be love and have wisdom and who God truly is.

Lets be honest, the church has fallen into a bad state, there is a total lack of love and the spirit of God which Jesus said would happen but if there is even a little bit of Good even just a few ppl who are true Christians full of love and filled with everything Good from God then that little miracle is worth fighting for.

Right on! It means way more to stay...witness and set an example. Those that are rude...God will handle....just keep on keeping on

I have been using the website since September 14th 2014. My experience here has been nothing but a joke. There is so much arguing and debate, it's ridiculous. I'm about to renounce ever using this website. Debating is not a calm discussion. It is differences of opinion fighting for who may be right and have the last word. People that like to go against what you believe also happen to be aged people well in their 50's and 60's. I'd expect them to be mature. But let's face it, it doesn't matter your physical age, what matters is your emotional age. I have encoutered so much sarcasim in this place. And people call themselves Christian? Paul taught us to keep away from coarse jokes. Coarse can mean rude. And any level of sarcasim is rude. Debating = Dissension, a work of the flesh. I have grown to hate the opinionated spirit of people even more. My respect for Christianity is now at an all time low. No wonder people leave the church. No wonder the world hates Christians. The biggest ego's and pigheaded individuals there are! I just want to call out the American Church more than ever. Denominations are not healthy. They are divisions among Christians. We need one church with one faith and one doctrine. Otherwise, it's a joke. Now I am expecting some people on here to speak against this post. So have at it. Speak your mind. Just proove everything I just mentioned here. Jesus was right, there would be sheep and there would be goats in the end days. Men who are lovers of themselves, boastful, arrogant etc etc

Trinity I think you would like the singles forum, its always so silly and happy over there

I believe that you should not leave this site as you are an asset. Make yourself comfortable and stay awhile. There are a lot of lonely and hurting people that could benefit from how you have allowed God to lead your life. I have felt like leaving too many times but this place is very much worthwhile to come back to. I understand your frustration but God never promised you a rose garden. This has been true since Adam and Eve were forced to leave the Garden of Eden because they allowed sin to enter into their lives. It has been a struggle ever since and one day God will make everything right again. This is what keeps me going.

I agree with you on two issues you covered, Christians are not perfect and I myself have been surprised at some of the arguing and bickering that goes on here. I also agree that denominations are divisive. We are the church of God and that should be it. Everything else is secondary.

Please don't leave though as CC would be all the poorer without you and your opinion is important. God bless you.

I have seen unpleasant behaviour here and on other sites. Christians should do better than that but we often fail. Some people have the mindset that you have to agree with them on even minor things or you aren't a real Christian. I have seen it all. I read a post on the Bible forum by a person claiming he had reached a state of sinlessness. I know of people on other websites who have been threatened. You will have to work out for yourself how to separate the wheat from the chaff. For me, I try to limit the time I spend on forums. I especially avoid places where there is a lot of name calling and the arguments just go in circles. There are some forums here that do pretty well at avoiding all of the negative stuff (hint - I avoid the Bible discussion forum).

It's the only christian chat site I've ever been on. However, as with all chat sites, CC has it's share of rude, opinionated and prideful people all determined to prove they are right and all others are wrong. Some of the things I've seen and heard on here are horrible. Other things are very spiritually uplifting. You gotta separate the bad apples from the good ones!!
