lol naw but if we could I wouldn't touch it but I get the feeling others would, some people don't have the power that they feel they deserve. I mean us perfect holy and always biblically correct Christians should have 999 rep power but pfft! no one seems to understand this and doesn't rep us like that

Yes, burning wood smells good, but that's not what I'm talking about. I have the same problem giving up not pointing at specks in other people's eyes that I have with smoking. I am fully aware neither is good for me, but it has become such a habit that doing that gives me self-satisfaction. I know I have to lay down the log, but truth be known it smells good and it's right next to my nose, so I get the full benefit of smelling it.
This is the same problem I have with cigarettes. Last time I quit, the smell that got me to go back was actually ashes from old cigs in the trash can. I smelled it. Even that smells good! (And when I'm smoking that really is a disgusting smell. lol)
I'm not talking about laying down the log yet. I'm talking about the self-satisfaction that comes from pointing out how someone else is doing something wrong. It smells good. It feels right. It's what I do.
That is the thing with all of us who do that. It feels good. (Think about it. If sin didn't feel good, would any of us do it?) We're going to be stuck for a bit on how to act differently.
As it stands now, I yank that log out of my eye, put it down, take a step, maybe even two, feel insecure without that nice comfortable got-used-to-it log in my eye, and want to slap it back in. I have pulled it out and put it back in quite a few times now. It's like that until God takes it an incinerates it for good.

Okay, but at least notice, some of us are trying to lay that down. THIS is different. THIS is new. So it's not exactly the same ole same ole. Granted,it took the church 300 years to finally agree that Jesus was fully God and fully Man, so I would imagine people throughout that 300 year period were also tired of the same ole same ole, until they noticed something very small changed in the same ole same ole. (That's me bracing you, in case you didn't catch that. lol)

from the cradle, = 'feed the mouth - the ears - the eyes- the nose - and, - ALL of the touch...
(if only we all had been taught from the beginning, how to FEED our Spirits)...
our struggles don't 'cease', but we must continually use our God-Given-Faith to 'Over-Come'
whatever our personal 'vices' are that are keeping us from drawing as close to our Saviour as we can,
that are keeping us from growing Spiritually...
Jesus is The Author and Finisher of our Faith, but we must walk in His Word...

I have to confess at some points I thought of the church as a place I got hurt
and rejected. I thought these bad people, how could they be so hypocritical.
It was a legitimate feeling, though it was an illusion. I was hurt, but I did not
know why or quite what I wanted. I did not even have the language, it was a
feeling my mind found an excuse for. And that is often our failing. Not simply
bringing our feeling to our King and talking them through.
Do you know how long it takes to really get to know someone. Years.
Yet we expect so much of others, even when we share so little and we
want so much the other way. It is no surprise we come up short.
And along the way, what we thought we knew can turn bad, and who we
wrote off in the wrong way can turn out to be a treasure. We as people
are not very good at this seeing people stuff. But Jesus is, very good.
And I do not think it is super spiritual gifting, it is simple seeing people
and their focus and care. Some are just beautiful people who glow.
But it takes time and interplay to see and truly grow in these things,
and probably just like Apostle Peter, tests and failures along the way.

I tend to not respond to persons who seem to think that they get to dictate to me how I do my job here. If you had sent those same e-mails to some of the other staff I can guarantee their response would have resulted in you no longer being here. I did not dictate anything to you. I simply asked you a question, or made a statement. I also did not name you in the previous post. You decided to come out with this. I was not going to make another post on this. And you right, just like your of the opinion it's okay to ignore people, I am entitled to believe it is not. And also your using juvenile logic.
