When I see a stinkbug walking in my home. I do not hurt him. I pick him up and let him loose outdoors.
I may have to work on my kindness a bit. But that is a start.

I opened 2 doors for a person in a wheelchair. :) And I let an elderly person have my seat on the bus.

I gave up my seat to a gentleman at Starbucks, as well as my fresh baked cookies from a customer to the employees there (okay okay, I ate a couple first).

error, one of my neighbors across the hall from me was out on the back porch. She told me her uncle had just shot and killed himself. She was very upset so I talked to her for awhile because MY uncle committed suicide back in '01 as well. When we got done talking she thanked me for listening. :)

Hey, I did a random act of kindness last night........did not spank my grandson when he came in later than was instructed to...

('course he is 20 now and about an inch taller than me, so the spankings are starting to be fewer and father in between :) )

I gave my two best friends books about life and God.

To the next poster. I challenge you to give something you value, to one of your family members :) (to you parents, or siblings: gift, or time)

Where I live we get a monthly newsletter that has many coupons. Included are coupons for Dairy Queen. Most folks throw the newsletter away but I keep mine and save other newsletters that are about to be thrown away by neighbors. Several times I have used those coupons and given others to customers at a nearby DQ. Because of this some have gotten free ice cream treats. I always enjoyed the looks of appreciation I've gotten in return for those random acts of kindness. :)

I did another RAOK today: went to a baseball game at a Christian high school. Two boys picked up an object but threw it back down on the ground. Out of curiosity I walked over and saw that it was car and house keys. For the life of me I cannot understand why they just left it there. I took the keys over to the school's receptionist area where the receptionist recognized it was a coach's keys due to the key chain and she thanked me for returning it.

I sat by the area where I found the key for about 2 hours and watched the game. Nobody came over so I assume the coach/teacher was not even aware that he lost it. Anyways, am glad I saved him the cost of getting new keys and that he will get it eventually.

God bless you, peacenik. That was very nice of you. :) When I go shopping this weekend, I will pay for the groceries of whoever is in back of me at the checkout in the dollar store. :)

oh the joy that comes from simply loving others!

Blue,

a while back hubby was in Wal-Mart doing some shopping and just went as he was, probably
in his 'dirty-garden-clothes', anyway, at the counter as he was getting ready to pay a UPS man
that was right behind him told the cash-register girl that 'he was paying' for this man's groceries....

even though hubby was able to pay for us, he allowed this man to fulfill an act of grace...
we three were greatly blessed...
