It is funny how people recognise they need a leader, vote them into power, then moan
about the one they chose and say they are all corrupt, evil, and should be shot, and
then are surprised no one actually wants the job.

The only heroic presidents are those who are so far in the past you forget the flaws
and just see the positive achievements, which normally are very few.

The only answer is to take ownership and pray God will give wisdom and bless the
nutcase who is fool hardy enough to imagine there is any value in them taking office.
Who I've voted for for POTUS, since I could vote:
-- Ford
-- Reagan
-- Reagan
-- G.H.W.
-- G.H.W.
-- Dole
-- G.W.
-- G.W.
-- McCain
-- Romney.

Now, exactly what am I supposed to own up to? Why do you think folks want POTUS shot? Last President I was proud to vote for was Reagan. His flaw was firing the air traffic controllers. I can also tell flaws of everyone who I voted for and won. The flaws of three Presidents I did NOT vote for would take pages and pages, not few. Hyperbole much?

Do you remember the good old days when politicians were humble,
told the truth, remembered they were servents (not superstars),
took their role of running the country seriously,
treated the role as prime minster/president as an honour and a privilege not a right,
and did it all under God's devine guidance?

Na, neither do I, Moses and David were a bit before my time :p
When I read your first paragraph I was thinking, :How old does she think I am?" Followed by "Did she have several previous lifetimes?" lol

I think it is good to laugh because it has gotten so personal and ugly. Christian mindset, God doesn't want that. Nor does He like that. He doesn't enjoy seeing His children sling mud at each other. At the end of the day, this doesn't take away our relationship with the Lord. And as for our responsibility as citizens, we go into it with whom we feel most comfortable with. But we'd be even more messed up if we couldn't take a moment and just laugh. That doesn't make it any less serious.

Do y'all (Brits) know
"I'm a little teapot short and sprout.
Turn me over and tip me out."

(A song -- with motions that go with it -- learned in kindergarten.)

Yes, well I did not sure if they teach it these days
It's more likely to be when Santa got stuck up the chimney, now. :)

I'll sure be glad when Football (American) starts back up in September. At least there will be something to watch on TV besides re-runs and bobble-heads spewing political vomit. I'd rather pick a team to root for this year than pick a President.

...there's an idea. Trump vs Hillary in THUNDERDOME! Two enter, one leaves.

Too many rules. Can't expect politicians and celebrities to follow rules. Most of them can't count past ten without taking their shoes off.

Nope, just a regular old street fight. Mexican Judo style. Judo know if I gotta knife; judo know if I gotta gun.
