I've been having a craving for green vegetables, too.
Broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, artichoke.
I wonder if I'm turning into a weirdo. I'm starting to even want tomato on my hamburgers and sandwiches.
I ask for extra tomato and lettuce. They never charge you for them! :D

I made a trip to the Subway Sandwiches nearby and bought Sub's for dinner.

I made roast beef last night, so tonight I made stew with the leftover beef & gravy. I added carrots, potatoes, green beans & finely chopped onions

Tomorrow I'm making meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans & corn, with brownies for dessert. Melita and her dear parents are joining us for dinner.

I also made a huge pitcher of iced green tea with fresh lime and raw honey. :)

=========================================================

these foods that your body is naturally craving - it is your body naturally speaking and asking you
to feed it these life sustaining foods...listen to yourself and feed yourself with what your body
is beseeching in order to sustain and keep you healthy...some how it just naturally knows
that you need these foods, especially at this time, mayhaps you have neglected it for to long
and your very own self/body is trying to save you from much pain and agony...
I was thinking that exact same thing. Some sort of deficiency in my diet.

My blood pressure has been a little high recently and my mother in law tells me that these foods are good for lowering it.

Finely chopped onions? What's wrong with coarsely chopped?

Well, they weren't exactly microscopic, 49. LOL  I just don't like big chunks of onion.

They were like this:

Now that looks good! Do believe that is a coarsely chopped piece of onion there, though. And that cow...black angus or beefmaster?

I don't know, my son bought it. He usually buys locally raised top grade beef. :)

Today I wasn't sure what to cook, so I made, Pirogies, banana bread, corn bread, sliced cucumbers and garlic chicken mixed with pasta. So it's a mish mosh of food .

I've been in a funk today, so supper was a toss-together affair. I made sloppy joes. They were...edible.

What I did enjoy tonight was being able to open the jar of pickled mushrooms, shallots, and garlic that I've had in the refrigerator for the past month. Very tasty. Satisfied my vinegar jones. Also has the benefit, thanks to the pickled garlic, of keeping vampires and icky kissy-face women at bay. I'm just kidding...about the kissy face women. That's how dudes get coodies.

Garlic keeps all the cooties away. Also really helps clear up congestion.
