A challenge for everyone over 40. Remeasure yourself. Are you really as tall as you think you are? (Probably not.)
Interesting you say that.... All my adult life I thought I was the same height I was in high school (5'5").... but about 8 years ago I had to get a physical for my pharmacy license and was shocked to find out I had grown 2 full inches! ;)

I feel that I'm short for a guy. I'm not sure how tall I am, (5'7 or 5'8, if I had to guess) but most people are taller than me. Sometimes it gets me down.

The only upside I've heard is that shorter people tend to live longer. But maybe that's just something us short people tell ourselves to feel better.
Im 6'5 and it isn't all its cracked up to be bro, when i was younger i always wanted to be shorter.

Seems like you would be taller than most. At least you get the reassurance that nobody will mess with you; probably not, anyway. :D

Oh, and something completely odd about being tall and a young woman at a dance. Most guys who ask you to dance will be short. Very short. And, they will ask you to dance during a slow dance, because they think they can rest their head on your boobs. For the record -- not unless you want a black eye first!!!
I KNEW I was missing out on something by being over 6 ft.....

The tallest woman I ever danced with was maybe 6' 1".... I couldn't see over her.. I'm surprised we didn't bowl a bunch of other dancers over, but we managed. If I'd laid my head over, it would have been on her shoulder.... :(

Apparently, women stop growing at 18 and men stop growing at 21. Apparently. LoL.

My wife is about 5'3 and vowed she wouldn't marry a guy under 6' . Well, I'm 5'11&1/2!!.

But that's ok. I thought I'd never marry an Italian, and she's 100% Italian! I don't think the Lord likes when we vow things like that. Lol
Me too! I was six foot when I was younger, but I've shrunk a bit with age.

I just did, and I'm '5'-"11.5" barefooted. With my Danners on, I'm '6'-"1.5".

To impress the ladies,
I always comb my hair straight up toward the sky...

so I reach my maximum height.

I'm impaired in the hair department so no help for me there. Guess I will need an Abe Lincoln hat to increase my altitude.

You don't want to be tall for the same reason a friend of mine at church wasn't really excited about getting her driver's license when she got old enough - "When I get it, mom will always be sending me to the store for something." When you are tall people are always asking you to get something they can't reach.

No I'm not tall. I have observed those who are tall though. And I've asked a few of them to get something I couldn't reach.

In the meantime...
