Did you see they are coming out with the remastered FFXII?

I'm going to buy it if there is room left in the budget this month. Great memories of that game on PS2.

I think it had the best locations, boss battles, and story line.
Cooooool!
...but I bet it won't work on my PS2 slim :p

Also playing Metal Gear Solid series.

I try not to play games and am trying to sell my PS4. I think Paul Was is right on TV and games. It's nearly all bad. It takes all your time and thought away from God and helping others, through idea's, projects or other (£money also). Better to just read, learn, improve, evangelise etc. It's just self indulgence.

So it wastes time.... like... spending time in this thread to tell us that?

Don't shut him down now. He's getting tuned up and getting ready to take all of us to task for how we spend our time. This might get interesting...or funny. Let's see what he says next. I love it when "the righteous" barge in and wag their digital finger at me. It makes me tingly.

Helping fellow Christians, on a Christian chat, when I'm depressed and alone. Yes, I feel it's helpful in putting a point across. Games take years of time away. Spending 5, 10,30 hours a week gaming, times about 45 weeks a year, times 20 or 40 years. Hmm about, 500*30, is 15,000 hours of gaming, plus all the money? And films? Cinema? Garbage magazines? How much is wasted? How much is saved with this comment for more godly purposes?

If people get addicte and it takes all their time that is bad yes
but I think you are exaggerating
Are we not allowed to do anything but pray and read the bible?

When people are gaming or watching TV, are they thinking and living for god, or trying to get away from God?

It stops you from researching facts, evidence, the Bible, evangelising, thinking of chores, homework, and generally screws up your life. I know. I'm a mess. What would I have done with all those lost hours? Studied more in work, Bible & other. Maybe.

Its not even really about the games so much as how you live to God through Christ, and the relationship you have.God wants to be included in all aspects of our lives even during the fun times, and not always during times of crisis, church, or before bed time. If a person is secure in Christ the Holy Spirit in them will actually tell them when to quit doing something if it is in conflict with them.

Nor should I work
I should let someone else pay my rent and electricity bill and spend all my time reading only the bible yes?

I do see where he is coming from though, because that is some peoples reality, and they are unable to operate under certain conditions, so they need some things removed all together... and if a person becomes a nun or a monk in the process ... more power to them... in a real way lol

Not really, just it seems more appropriate to not go around shooting and hacking people to bits all evening, even if it's fake. Or watching it, or being influenced in general. If you don't have the patience to read a book quietly and instead just game or watch films of negative influences to relax, something might be a little off.

This past week or so, I have gotten the suspicion that the 3 or 4 members here flying the Union Jack, yet all speaking extremely similar and reminding me with their every post of the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, that these folks are actually ONE person with multiple sock-puppet accounts.

Always barging into threads to lambaste us for our activities and how we ought to do other things. Always trying to stand on the righteous position from atop their moral high horse. Always having the same responses. Yep, smells like sock-puppets.
