Jesus replied,
You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.

I'm quite confused/perplexed as to who or whom all could God be speaking to in Gen 1:26 "...let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness..." Who is He speaking to @ this point in time???

Galations 4:9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces ? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
NIV
Ive been wrestling with temptation. When i see it working its way through my brain, i think back to this verse and thank God for his salvation.

This is a bible verse thread, of what verse is on your mind at the moment. :) If you go to the bible discussion forum, you will get much more informed answers to your question.

Job 11:13-20 (NIV)

13

“Yet if you devote your heart to him
and stretch out your hands to him,

14

if you put away the sin that is in your hand
and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,

15

then, free of fault, you will lift up your face;
you will stand firm and without fear.

16

You will surely forget your trouble,
recalling it only as waters gone by.

17

Life will be brighter than noonday,
and darkness will become like morning.

18

You will be secure, because there is hope;
you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

19

You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid,
and many will court your favor.

20

But the eyes of the wicked will fail,
and escape will elude them;
their hope will become a dying gasp.”

these, as lyrics, are being sung in the song below
((though i think that the musician is quoting NKJV))

What may you think about what you may look at below ?

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Of course what I am saying now is not what the Lord would have me say; in this matter of boasting I am really talking like a fool. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. I promise them freedom, while I am a slave of depravity for "people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.". Amen, Hallelujah !

. . . but their minds were closed. For to this day, at the reading of the old covenant, the same veil remains; it is not lifted, because it is set aside only in Christ.
Even to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts, but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

And in that day, you will ask of Me nothing.
Truly, truly, I say to you,
whatever you may ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

Shepherd Your people with Your scepter,
The flock of Your possession
Which dwells by itself in the woodland,
In the midst of a fruitful field.

Isaiah 9:6 - For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

And He will arise and shepherd His flock
In the strength of the Lord,
In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God.
And they will remain,
Because at that time He will be great
To the ends of the earth.
This One will be our peace.

(Micah 5:4-5)
