I was thinking Kansas City...

And Galahad is a bit behind the curve, it seems. It's okay brother! Hang in there -- we'll get you straightened out!

Lol!

Thanks for commenting everyone -- was a fun conversation to read, this morning.

Now, who's gonna host the BBQ near KC?
I don't care who hosts it as long as they get the ribs from Joe's Gas Station.

Don't have one i'm a follower of Jesus. I also don't go to a set church.
A church in a mobile home then?

I really do think denominations (or nondenoms) matter, because it is what is taught that matters. But not going to church? That's a problem, unless a person just can't. (I am one who just can't, so not saying it's evil or anything. Just curious what you meant.)

Ok so my denomination history is a bit unique. My mother was Jehovah's Witness, my father was Lutheran, they eventually divorced, my mother got custody of me so I grew up being raised in her religion :( :( :( yikes.....
At the age of 17/18 I started questioning my mother's religion because I didn't agree with the majority of their teaching, and eventually finally left it, which in turn caused that entire side of my family to "shun" me--pretty much for the last decade or so they have no dealings with me, they don't even call to check on me, it is crazy. Anyways I spent the 10 or so years after I left that denomination (I apologize, but I don't think it should even be catorgorized as a denomination and really should be called a cult) without a denomination at all. I was kind of in drifting mode. I studied all sorts of religions but still never found my niche. So instead I started just reading the bible (KJV) and studying it myself with no church involved. As time went on and events in my life happened, I longed to get closer to God, I decided that the fellowship of other Christians is very important, and strengthening to my faith, so my husband and I started going to a non-denomination--Church of God--Church. We are currently looking at different churches, as we have recently moved and our old church is pretty far away now.
To sum it all up: I would have to say I do not have a denomination as of right now, although I really enjoyed the Church of God church I went to. Their teachings and beliefs fall in line with what I agree with for the most part.
All in all I feel there really is no set denomination for me which I guess is why I have stuck to the non-denomination type.
How is that for a story? :p
Thanks for sharing your testimony, sister. Praise God!
