Sorry to hear that. People simply are mean (I guess that proves the bible about us being evil by nature).
I pray you will get some friends who are able to stick by you.

You can have a very good friend in Jesus.
And if you go to a born again Christian Church, You can meet people who will be your friend.

I will stand in agreement with you.

I'm sorry that you had to go through that. Kids and even adults can be cruel and immature that way... It wasn't your fault for their actions. I have an older brother that has autism so I can relate to some degree with what you are saying. When going outside with him since he's pretty low functioning, we kept getting stares and some people would laugh while passing by. I think it's mostly fear of what they don't understand (ignorance), so they decide to laugh it off without knowing any other reaction towards it if they have it brought to their attention.

Often times with those on the higher end of the spectrum, they can be very smart people. In fact, there's many who have made history because they would rise higher than what was the norm in their time while they were looked down on.

I hope you find the acceptance you were unjustly not given and people actually would take the time to know you. Sorry on the behalf that the majority of people who don't because of this.

Rockinman, your post has touched my heart. Never forget you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that God knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb, He cares for you. You have much to offer many such as myself whom is just now becoming acquainted with autism. My granddaughter at age 3 was just diagnosed, we are finding that therapy---speech and physical are provided, yet the socializing aspect is limited. Thus steps in her Nana... I am in high hope that the Lord will provide the necessary knowledge, education and means to provide for a group that will help draw my sweet granddaughter into the social world to help her connect in her unique way. You shall remain in my prayers for the Lord to provide you with several close friends that can walk through this journey with you. In His Love, TexasNana

You are and will remain in my daily prayers in Jesus. :)
My grandson and a nephew are also autistic and my son is a mild autistic.
I remember him being teased alot as well when he was in school, it was often heart breaking to see the pain he went through.
Do try to forgive though, as forgiveness blesses you and will free you from the pain of the past. :)
You are a wonderful and beautiful creation of God and loved greatly, know this always and rejoice in God's love, as it is trully the joy that brings all streangth needed. :)
Ill be praying for you.

God bless

Rockinman, we are all given certain crosses to bear in life. Having autism and ADHD is yours. Having epilepsy is my cross. I never got bullied in school, but my classmates did'nt understand why I would have grand-mal seizures every day either. As wwjd_kilden mentioned, alot of people are just downright mean and nasty and rude. Especially in school where they feel they have to act that way to be considered "cool". Teasing people is never right, but people do it anyway. I guess they feel they need to mock what they dont understand. If they could live one week in yours and my shoes, they would almost definitely change their behavior!! Just stand strong and keep your faith in Jesus and know that HE truly understands what you and I and anyone else are going through. :) Remember that you have alot of friends here on CC who understand and sympathize.

Father God, I pray for Rockinman. Lord I pray you would comfort him and give him peace beyond understanding. Send people into his life. Surround with people who love you and will show him your love. Lord keep him busy with your kingdom so he is not alienated and feeling lonely. Lord you can use all things for good for those who love you. I pray that these experiences would draw Rockinman closer to you and closer to other believers. Thank you Lord for loving us and training us to love others as well. In Jesus Name Amen.
[h=3]Isaiah 43:18-25[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

18 “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
[h=3]Romans 8:28[/h]New International Version (NIV)

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

Man, as far as I'm concerned, you were exposed to a part of life that is nasty, gritty, and undeserved to anyone. It's not right that we're born into a sinful world and that we are cursed by a never ending cycle of hatred and misery that seeps it's way into the hearts and minds of millions, if not billions living on this earth.

The important thing to know is, the immaturity and the wrongdoings others perpetrate towards and against you, do not have to define you. So what if you're autistic. To me, you're just another guy that is growing in his relationship with the Lord. You're no different than me, and that's how others need to treat you. I lay my head down on my pillow @ night just the same as you do. And I put my clothes on the same way as well. I'd even argue that you can do a few things better than I can. There are probably latent talents and abilities in you now, that you're completely unaware of.

it's absolutely key that you don't let the ignorance and foolishness of others bring you down though. Like I said, it doesn't have to define you. And it doesn't mean that you're any less of a human being than anyone else. I'm here to tell you, that you're my brother, regardless of our differences that society may view as a barrier to friendship. I go with the minority on this one, and I do so with pride.

Here's a good verse to remember, I think it has helped us all at some point in our lives.

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
