rockinman, you need to let go of the teasing you suffered in school. You are an adult now and you can smile whenever you want to. :) Dont worry about the ones who make fun of you--they are not worth getting upset over because they are ignorant and mean-spirited. Pray for them instead to be imbued with compassion and understanding for those who are different than they are. You cant live your life being embarassed and ashamed of what you have..alot of people have autism and ADHD. Alot of those people are alot worse off than you are. Just remember that, however bad you feel you have things, someone else's ordeal is even worse than yours. My grand-mal seizures are under control now, but there are others with epilepsy who have them a million times a day. You and I are two of the luckier ones. We are creations of God, and he doesnt make ugly or creepy creations. :) Be proud of who you are and deafen yourself to the ridicule of the ignorant ones.

It's good to smile every once in a while. The people that made fun of you back in school are long gone from you now. One of the things I regret was when people kept telling me to smile, I never actually done it... Now I almost have a reason not to, or at least to suppress it if I wanted to smile or laugh around people.

Once when I was volunteering at a soup kitchen since service hours were required for graduation, a man came up to me with his wheelchair and he had no legs. He looked at me and smiled, saying to smile since things could be worse, and then went. I wish I took his advice. Things could be worse. So take time to lighten up and smile around the people you care about and make some good memories, hopefully one day to suppress the bad ones. :)
