Your dedication is inspiring buddy. I wish I could be more like you.
LOL thanks i am glad to have met you but honestly idk if i am dedicated i keep doing good then i do bad then good it isnt a very stable faith that's for sureXD But right now i am enjoying reading proverbs I am hoping and praying god will give me wisdom, understanding and insight. Plus i just can't stop reading it's very addictive. I am hoping the best way to know god is to read his word, and the lord led me to proverbs i don't know what he will have me read after proverbs but i suddenly have a hunger for his knowledge. It really is food for the soul because i cannot seem to stop it's like i consume his word as strange as that sounds.

Dear one, I just wanted to try to encourage you a little. This is not unusual, from what I've seen and experienced, for an infant in Christ. :) It will change gradually, typically, and though you are new to the faith, your uncompromising passion for the Lord is inspiring! :D

But right now i am enjoying reading proverbs I am hoping and praying god will give me wisdom, understanding and insight.
He surely will, and I believe this makes His heart glad. ♥

I am trying my hardest not to cry god made my heart so tender today and i cannot stop smiling. I promise to somehow make you even more happier than i am now. I asked the lord for his heart today and he gave it to me, I will keep reading and making god's heart tingle with joy, I feel i am feeling what god feels about you and what you said. it's people like you who are treasures in this world, you are worth more than all the money in the world. I cannot wait to watch god give you the treasure and glory you so clearly deserve when we make it to heaven. I will be so happy for you, you can have any treasure i get in heaven because all i want when i get to heaven is to be in my fathers arms and you can have any glory i get because i don't need it and people like you deserve it. I hope we can keep encouraging each other on this thread because i treasure every single post

God has blessed you Blain :D. How lucky you truly are my friend. I'm in the process of begging him to let me retain this heart I've had for the past few weeks. If I lose it, I don't think I'll ever be able to come back again. But by reading your messages it gives me hope and courage, no matter what doubts try creeping up inside me. I will fight against them and press onward. Thanks for your inspiration buddy. i pray for the joy you feel - to be able to experience it for myself.

Praying for both of you the same!

"Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers
" Psalm 1:1-3 :)

I just have to say that this happiness I have is the result of each of you young men here.

As my precious daughter waits and waits for the Godly man she hopes the Lord will bring to her, she oftentimes feels a certain despondency.
She wonders if such men even exist anymore.
I can't wait to show this to her, so she can be encouraged. (she's 27, and if you'd like to pray for her, I would be so appreciative!)
I'm so proud of her for waiting on God in purity and not settling for a lesser man.

And I also feel proud of each one of you, Blain, GodssSon, and ForthAngel. ♥
Thank you for encouraging a momma today. :)

ps--Psalm1 is the first piece of scripture we had our kiddos memorize! :D

That's awesome that you had your kids memorize Psalm 1, Ellie :D
And I'm glad to be part of the encouragement to you :) Thank you for saying.
I'm definitely praying for your daughter. That's great that she wants a Godly man. There are few, but they do exist :) She just has to be careful these days unfortunately. I know God will bring someone across her path as she continues to seek God :)

LOL no there was nothing wrong with what was said, I am in the process of trying to understand the bible more. I heard that the bible will make you grow in god more than a hundred years of learning about him from others. i even heard that when you can understand the bible you will be excited from reading scripture and you will constently seek his word like some sort of drug. I also heard it's the best way to know god, my faith for some reason is weak and i was frustrated and kept asking god why but i have decided to instead try to learn to say instead with a cheerful heart i trust you god. Besides who am i to question him? this may seem like a bad thing in my eyes but what if it is really something great? it's really easy to say i love you god and to trust him when things are going good but i think the the tough times are when we need to say those things the most even though the words will be very hard to say.

Blain, many people find the Bible to be much easier to understand when they ask Jesus to fill them with the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus mentioned this in the book of Luke, chapter 11, verse 13. Anyone who has Jesus as their Savior can ask Him to fill them with the Holy Spirit's indwelling power :). People often say that they feel more loved, or more excited when they first do this, also.

By the way everyone, what I said earlier about crashing the thread was just because I had suggested that Ellie's daughter join CC to meet the guys here, but I was half joking, and I thought that I hadn't posted the bit where I apologized to everyone. I'd meant to erase it, because I knew nobody was mad or annoyed. :)

ok so i am now on a mission guys, I am seeking the truth about the bible. I want to know just how good and rich each book is in it, what if the bible is worth more than a million dollars worth of gold? what if it turns out that by understanding what the bible really is and how rich it is we will want to read it more then drinking water when we are dehydrated? and just maybe by finding this deep truth our lives will never be the same, how amazing would that be?

The Bible---the Word of God.
The sword of the Spirit of God.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
John 1 says in the beginning was the "logos"; the Word.

Jesus is the living water and the Word of God!
Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." (John 4:10 NASB)

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"
(John 7:38 NASB)

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)

It is amazing, Blain, and your enthusiasm is contagious! :)

so i found out that one of the reasons i could not understand the bible is because i just jumped into the new testiment and sure i read the story of Jesus but it turns out the new testiment is really for people who are looking for more solid spiritual food . the old one is for people like me who need the milk, without reading the old testiment the purpose of the bible and understanding it all will be seemingly impossible. the bible isn't really supposed to be used as a manual but more of a way to comunicate with god you know to get to know who he is. I thought the bible was many different stories put together in one book but each story is linked to the other in more ways than one. Like for example the prophesy of jesus is shown many times in the old testament like with adam and eve god said ( you will strike his heel but he will crush your head.) to some that would mean man killing a snake but doesn't it seem like it says something like Jesus ruining the devils plan by being struck on his heel( being crucified) and crushing his head ( saving us from sins grip and thus ruining the devils plan) then another example in egypt when moses was called to help save his people is it a mere coincidence that the blood of a lamb must be put on the doors of his people? The bible appears to be one big love story of us and god, the bible is starting to look very interesting to me.

I wouldn't say that about the New Testament, Blain; an awful lot of people said that they read the Gospels in tears of joy when they first got saved (or right before). The message of Jesus rescuing us is milk to babes, yet also something to remember, treasure and cherish throughout our entire lives, no matter how well we get to know Jesus :).

well today i am excited to learn more about the bible:D i want to have an understanding of it before i read it. If it really is as rich in what and who god is as i have heard it is then i can't wait. I told god this morning how excited I am to get to know him more and that his word really is the most precious thing i could have. Also we need to pray for a woman who has no arms but is getting a double arm transplant:O she says the thing she is excited most is being able to hug her husband and children. so i really hope it goes perfect

Wow i havent been on this thread in foreverLOL, I asked god to lend me his eyes, heart and mind today i really hate how whenever i see someone as hard as i try not to i judge how they look or act it really makes me mad. But I also want to see the world the way god does not like seeing the spiritual realm or anything but i want to see beauty in everything. I am hoping if he does answer this prayer i will think like he does, that my heart will have joy in his joy and break what breaks his. I have wanted for so long to be a mirror image of him kind of like how a child wants to be just like his dad. This isn't just a prayer to me it is actually one of my greatest desires, I have three specail dreams that I beleive god gave me and Honestly sometimes i wonder if they will ever come true but they are kept alive by hope. I sometimes wonder if i have grown at all I feel like i have been stuck in the same spiritual growth state for a long time but I know i can't trust my feelings but i wish i was able to know how much i have grown.
