Hey...are you two my husband and me?? lol !!
This is such a familiar song.
Me saying, "but, honey, he seems like such a nice guy, or she's a good person", and Mark saying, hmmm...I don't think so.
I am blessed with a wise husband, and have learned (the hard way ) to ask him first. Then we can pray together, and I actually do what he says.
Now that you've all picked yourselves off the floor and closed your mouths...Bekah, I would suggets something like that. The Lord puts us with our mates for good reason, and if we do as they ask, we are protected, and not just in ways we can see. ♥
We ladies who are especially tenderhearted are typically blessed by God with wise men who are particularly protective of us. Nice guys, but smart enough in the ways of the world, and given extra wisdom to cover us with, it seems. Mark's got a "first impression" gift I've yet to see go wrong in over 32 years. It's awe inspiring. Our son began seeing a lovely young lady a few years ago, and she's truly sweet. We spent 5 minutes with her the first time we met her, and after the kids left I was saying how glad I was that our boy met such a nice girl. Mark said, yep she seems nice, high maintenance, though.
Two years later our son was wondering why his dad hadn't warned him. (like he would have listened at 21! LOL)
Lots of talk to just say, pray, dear sister Bekah, and ask that guy God gave you. You just about can't go wrong putting yourself where he asks you to be.

With that light that draws em in comes a fierceness that roars like a lion that protects (My Beloved God) whom he call's his, lil oh me w00tw00t. (((grinz))) I fear not what man can do to me because I know I have my champion right beside me. So so so many times I can see something that happens in my life and I can see oh so clearly where my Lord has went before me clearing the way. ((chuckles)) When you know you have such a fierce protector its kinda hard to be afraid of anything or anyone because he is just so much bigger then it all. But prayers are what my Lord ask for so prayers he shall get!!! Thank you sweet shekaniah!!!

Wow Miss Ellie, that was quiet beautiful to the point of being very wise and poetic. I am impressed but I also hear the wisdom and love and personal experience behind your words as well as a kindred soul. Thank you with my heart for sharing your knowledge and your wisdom with me. anyone ever go to one of your threads and respond thinking its the other thread?hahahaha *ahem* I hate those moments when you feel like a complete tard or those moments when you say something that is completely at the wrong time and totally inappropriate to the point that you stop and think to yourself "oh my did that just come out of my mouth" and then the person you said it to looks over at ya with a grin and says "so have you ever had your eye blacked with a chicken nugget before" hahaha. Today has been ONE of those days. lol
