    Do we stress baptism enough?

Yes...water and the spirit...we are all born of water...the natural birth of all mankind...and then we are born of fire...the Spirit. This isn't baptism water...Jesus is talking about the second birth...which is why He names two: natural life-giving childbirth (water) and Spirit (fire).

    Do we stress baptism enough?

Show me where Jesus said one had to be baptized to enter the kingdom of Heaven. Show me where the most known Scripture, John 3:16, says you have to be baptized to be saved. Show me where you can justify that anyone not baptized has gone to judgment...including the thief on the cross who was not...

Will people who miss the rapture have a chance to be saved?

Once again, that isn't the question on this post. Whether there is a Rapture or not is a gnat in the soup of Christianity. Many Christians get bogged down and miss the point. The point is your salvation. Are you saved? Yes. Then if there's a Rapture, you go when it happens. If there isn't, you...

    Adults who watch cartoons

I am 42 and I watch all kinds of cartoons. I don't watch the very young ones, but I watch The Bare Bears, Spongebob, Hilda, Phineas and Ferb, and so on...I also watch Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, and so on...in fact, yesterday I watched Hotel Transylvania for the hundredth time and a few days ago...

    Do we stress baptism enough?

Yeah. This. I get in so many discussions about the "requirement" of baptism. The only true requirement is salvation. Period. You accept Christ and are saved, then you obey Him because you love Him, and in obedience, you choose water baptism as an outward sign of your belief...or not. It isn't...

Will people who miss the rapture have a chance to be saved?

Basically, if there is a Rapture (I believe there is, but that isn't your question, is it?), those that are left behind will, in fact, be able to repent and turn to Christ, however, it is hypothesized by theologians that Holy Spirit leaves. One of the motivators of repentance is Holy Spirit...

Who Remembers? A look at regret, calling, and purpose

I was blessed and honored to be asked to bring the message at my church on August 28th. Here's the video of the message, though the camera was in the back of the room...but it still works well. :) Such an amazing experience. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-8gANbyG6Q&feature=youtu.be

I'm not waiting for you and I'm not praying for you

I see a great deal of posts on Facebook and such that say that they are "waiting" for the one God would send them, that they are not settling because they know that God has someone for them, that they choose to abstain from sex for their future spouse. I daresay that these are the wrong reasons...

    Please pray for me

I don't have anyone to talk to and my soul hurts. Prayer is needed for the love and comfort of Christ to cover me. I do all right most days without anyone to talk to, but sometimes I am just so overwhelmed that I can't handle it. Thank you.

    Yuppers

When I read some of the responses from some of the men on here in regards to women, all I see is, "Blah blah blah blah blah, I can control, abuse, mistreat and crush women under my male chauvinistic feet because my interpretation of the Bible tells me so, blah blah blah."

...sincerity will not protect us (or others) from peril if we are sincerely wrong

This is a great article, but the one point I really want to share and emphasize is the following: People are going to actually believe what we teach them. What we teach will shape the way they live. Most will assume we have done the hard work of understanding the text. If we get it wrong, the...

They Cannot Take It Away From Me!

I think that today I have had the first revelation regarding this trial as to what I am supposed to learn while going through this long, dark valley. When the mantle of favor was lifted from my workplace, oh so long ago, I couldn't understand why. I thought it was because God wanted me to learn...

It is so foolish to waste this time

Today, as I sat at my desk at work, I thought, "It is so foolish that I am wasting my time." You see, I have begun to settle for lukewarm living. And, though I desire Christ so fully and completely to overtake me and overwhelm me and for me to be caught up in the wonder of Him, to worship Him...

    Actually...

...it is the pressing and crushing and defining and limiting and condemning and controlling women that is ungodly, not God using women to teach, preach, lead and prophesy, as His word shows us this occurs by His decree many times. It is the falsehood that women are to be silent, barefoot...
