Well that is in the past and we live today.
I still believe that any accusation by anyone and on any subject should be proven with a direct quote.
To do otherwise is just an opinion and is only going to lead to heated debate and name calling.
I see a lot of opinions and judgements being expressed toward others without any direct quote to prove right or wrong.
As I said, I have never heard of Hyper-grace before, but I would say if they are here they also have a right to express their belief.

Reformed Christians are more plentiful than they used to be, but we have not taken the forum by storm.

1. As LaurenTM pointed out, a great deal of the threads related to Calvinist soteriology are not started by soteriological Calvinists. They are, by my observation, started by those who maintain a different theological point of view and usually do not open it up to a different point of view. Weeks ago, I stopped seriously debating the topic here because all people do is cry heretic and let slip the dogs of bore.

2. The fact that "Hyper-Grace" "Free-Grace" and "Radical Grace" are being coined tells me there are not enough Reformed Christians here. None of these terms have gained common coinage in our theological circles to the best of my knowledge. In churches I've been to across the country, these terms have never been used. Now "Hyper-Calvinism" and "Free Grace" but they are both castigated as aberrant sub-circles or heresies. The point is, the terminology the OP uses and the terminology mentioned in the sticky is not Reformed Theology.

3. Subjects Reformed Christians love to debate- Baptism, the Regulative Principle of Worship, Church Governance, Theonomy, the scope of Christian Liberty, and Covenant theology are rarely debated head on or given a thread dedicated to them. If there were a giant portion of us on this cite, these internascent squabbles would be more palpable (and interesting). As of now, they exist in jokes on the Miscellaneous subforum.

Again, we're more plentiful than we ever have been on this site and it seems logical me because we are a growing segment of Christianity in America and when Calvinism is debated and Calvinist scholars are discussed, "Spurgeon Discussion" will lead them here. This is taken from an actual anecdote told to me over PM.

And as somebody who has been here for years, seeing a few other people of my theological persuasion on this site has been an unexpected joy (Merry Christmas). But if Hyper-Grace, Radical-Grace, and Free-Grace have gained common coinage, either the site is actually being besieged by heretics, my brothers are not giving a very good account of their theology, or they are being purposefully mislabeled by the likes of the OP who lay in stark theological opposition.

Why do you participate in the hg threads and come here and complain about it?
There's probably just as many hg threads created by those who rail against it than those who are labelled as hg followers.

That second sentence is probably true, seeing NOBODY'S DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. We can agree on that point.

I'm not trying to debate anyone. I'm tired of childish nonsense like this. I came on here a week ago to share my love of God and his word but there's too many like you on here. You and your kind have taken everything positive and turned it into something negative.
You'll never know how many that were seeking our Lord ran from here becuz of people like you. Back under your bridge troll.


How would I know about martyrdom and oppression? Are you kidding me? Perhaps when you get up off the floor after this tantrum you'll open your eyes and see.

I had never heard this called HG, only free grace theology, where no repentance is necessary, no changed life after conversion is needed. As long as one 'said the prayer', they're saved, regardless how they lived. I have opposed this belief at every turn.

A life of salvation is full of repentance. Repentance is not like a one time innoculation and that's all one needs. I am a YUGE Lordship Salvationist.

look Stephen, we have had words and then we kind of cleared the air and it was all good and I saw you had a decent sense of humor and I actually like you (and don't take that the wrong way haha not that I think you will...anyway...)

I think you may be the one who needs to check their motivation

I think we are each responsible for the atmosphere we create and each INDIVIDUAL needs to keep themself in check

I try to lighten up threads with a little humor from time to time while saying what I think is true

no one died here, it's a forum...you should lighten up a little

has anything but dissension been achieved up until now?

I have no motivation other than less fighting...no puppy in this fight as they say, and not taking sides

that's how I see it
