i think the issue is this
The law says, "do not covet"
Now can we try to put down every circumstance known to man and GOD which would be considered coveting?
I think if we even tried, we could come up with a huge list, and even that would most likely far way short of showing us every action that could be considered by God to be coveting.
So we see the flaw in the law. It says do not covet, but it does not say how.
Jesus gave us the answer, If you love your neighbor (which includes your enemy) you would never covet against them, because true love (gods love) can only thank God for blessing them.
When I fall back into the sin of coveting, is when I stop loving (as God loved) and start to think of self (carnal).. which is temptation, and if I let that temptation continue and do not put my eyes back on God and bless them, I will most likely fall to that temptation, and covet.
