actually, you are still advocating a form of law, ie rules and ordinances.

Where does scripture say that God has given us His nature? I may truly be drawing a blank, otherwise I don't believe it says that. I would encourage you to get a red letter Bible sometime and read only the words of Christ (or do it again if you already have). I think you may be surprised how little His words resemble what you hear in practically all churches today.
