our sins, after confessed can be forgiven - but, the consequences of these 'sins' can last for generations..
as Ps. 32. has been quoted, vs. 1-2, the next part is speaking of the 'consequences of sin' -
David says, 'when I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long.'
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was turned into the drought of summer. selah
this part of the Ps. is showing us that the 'results-of-un-confessed' sins', can become weakness and sickness,-
but then David goes into the 1JOHN 1:9. teaching, 'If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the Truth in NOT in Us. If we confess our 'sins', He is Faithful and Just to forgive our sins and to cleanse
us from ALL un-righteousness.'
so, the Psalm is teaching us that Paul and John drew their knowledge and understanding from the Psalm.
what is troubling on this 'forum' is that most tend to 'PIT' scripture against scripture like 'fighting-dogs',
it seems to be like it's, (my scripture is better than your scripture) and my 'scholar knows more than
your 'scholar'...also, it seem that many believe that their interpretation of scripture is,-
(my scripture is superior to your scripture)...
the whole mind-set appears to us as coming across as '(anti-learning)'
The Scriptures are as a 'beautiful tapestry', inter-woven,- in order to compliment one another...
they are as individual pillars, though at times they seem to be at 'odds-with-one-another' -
but, THEY ARE NOT, THEY SUPPORT DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE 'TOTALITY' OF OUR SAVIOUR'S WORDS'.
BUT, the spirit of 'war' dominates this 'forum' - (I am right-you are wrong) - (I refuse to learn anything
from you, from your point of view, and the REALITY is, (there is so much straining at a gnat, that we
swallow a herd of camels).
in short, it appears that in here, this forum, that there is no willingness to examine or accept the
scriptures in their pure totality - (this is what can be described as an 'illusion of Godliness"...
as it is written: RIVERS OF WATERS RUN DOWN MY EYES! and again, 'JESUS WEPT'
