The so-called "workers for" are ones that say we must have works or we are not saved - in other words - if you do or not do certain things ( these things vary depending on our church upbringing teachings ) - then you are not saved.
It's the proverbial cart before the horse syndrome. This is trying to say that the cart ( works ) creates the horse. ( salvation in Christ )
It is true that if Christ is in you, you will bear fruit.
I have never seen people going through church membership lists asking for fruit.
I have seen people testing teachers and preachers for their fruit and the truth of
their words. And it is this testing that is actually being opposed and rejected.
Now I have not met anyone on cc who puts the cart before the horse, but I have met
many who accuse falsely others of this very same thing when there is no sign at all
of such a thing.
And in truth if you do not walk in purity and holiness, how can you know Christ?
The language is alien to me, because we have stopped using the idea the people
of God are a holy people, and being sexually immoral is not such a bad thing,
divorce, multiple kids in many families, it is just part of life.
Or porn and fantasy, it is just all ok, you have got to give in to fleshly desires.
Or a husband who needs porn to meet his needs, be simpathetic, you wife are
to blame. Or gay sexually active men, this is love, not sin.
So christianity without purity and holiness is not of the Holy Spirit.
We are temples of Christ. What place has sin got to do with a temple of the
Holy Spirit? But people though they sin, even getting angry here with others,
is not an issue, it is just part of their long walk with Christ and dealing with
evil people in unbelief.
And how many applaud this behaviour, talk about clearing out the church of
legalists, of a Jezebel spirit, or some other name.
And if someone raises the issue of the Holiness of the people of God, open
season. Yes false righteousness is a problem, but this attack is wrong, driven
by people who reject the true walk of Christ by Christs law.
And they have no shame. DIY faith and righteousness?
They have DIY theology and delusion, shown by their non-biblical language
and wrongly applied examples.
