You say the law applies to who it was given, and it was given to you, it is scripture, it is spoken of in all ages.

The law shows us how sinful we are, and that is so. It also leads us, is a blessing for us, it teaches us God’s way, and much more is said about the law in scripture.

Schipture does not teach us to ignore the law. It teaches that through Christ, when we repent we are forgiven. It is through Christ going to the cross that we can be made right. But that fact does not give us license to say we have faith so we can ignore all other scripture.

Either way you look at it. the law will never save you. You don't walk in the foyer of the house of salvation by grace, then have to work to get all the way in the house by obeying the law (what would be the cut of point of how good is good enough? We would never know)

The law also realy does not teach us how to live, It says do not covet. It does not say why, When we come to Christ, we learn his word. and find out why. Knowing why is what helps us overcome.

Gotta admit. It's getting very hard for me to come in here and see the same arguments happen over and over. Same opinions voiced from different sides over and over and over. You think you've gotten somewhere or are getting somewhere and it all just starts over again. Can't help but feel absolutely nothing is being accomplished here.
