I think you'll find, as I did, that as you grow in age and with Christ, you won't enjoy the music as much. I used to love metal and hard rock and hardcore punk and other stuff like that.... but after converting (and aging) it stopped appealing to me. And it stopped speaking to me on a level that I feel music should.
I'd be lying if I said that I NEVER listened to those genres, but it is very rare.

Well said, Matthew. I still listen to a lot of secular music; just none (or very little) that have messages that are antagonistic to the Christian faith, to theology, etc. I'm a huge fan of rap and hip-hop... One of my favourite hip-hop artists is K'naan, a Somali-Canadian Muslim rapper.
