I respect the office of the Presidency to some extent. I do not have to agree with any one person's agenda while in the office. If any politician is acting like an idiot it is a person's right to think and say so. At least, for now it is.The President is NOT a KING or a possible QUEEN, if we ever have a female in office. They are not anointed of God. The President is a public servant who was voted into office.
Nor can we allow our voices to be hushed because any one person is holding the office. In Christian circles, I've often witnessed it considered unloving to even disagree. People are often shamed or shunned into silence. I would point out that Jesus (anointed of God) told the Pharisees and scribes (supposed Authorities) that they were vipers and unclean like tombs of dead bones.
You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?
matthew 23:33
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness.
matthew 23:37
Pray for the person in the oval office? Absolutely. That they make the right decisions according to the Will of God. On a personal level, I also pray that Obama's family is protected. To pray against someone in this office because I disagree with their background and agenda might be to pray against my Country.
Race is basically irrelevant to me in the political realm except when it's used like a sword against logic and truth. I've read from a few that those who disagree with the current President are all racist. (what horse hash) That label is getting old like the little boy who called wolf. No one is listening and their credibility to reason is becoming null and void.
