B
I have just started reading my bible and have found a few verses that confuse me. 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 says:
To the rest I say this: If any brotherhas a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him , he must not divorce her. 13 And if a womanhas a husband who is not a believerand he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 for the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
I understand the concept of sanctity and that by being married to a believer, the spouse is closer to God. But what do these verses say about children? That if parents divorce the children are the same as children born out of wedlock?
Any guidance or clarification would be most helpful
