I don't know about many of you but myself when I was younger I hated reading the Bible when my parents made me do it. I kind of got pushed into college to study youth ministry (because that's what my dad did at the time)...3 1/2 years later I never finished with a degree and owed 10 grand. I went the next 15 years or so without opening my Bible tho I had a faith in God that could not be quelled. I lived that time for myself and ended up in a divorce. 4 years later in 2010 I was baptized (my mom's proudest moment ). One year later my mom died. I fell a bit more. Then I was really diagnosed with a rare form of arthritis...ostio and rheumatoid. My rheumatologist had seen this type twice. Once in me once in my mom. I didn't let it get me down because of seeing my mom's strength and faith in God. I started to read my Bible a bit more next thing I know I have a library of Bibles, theological and apologetics books. Now at this point I love to study the things of God. And I don't mean just read but study in depth study. It's fun I enjoy it, it's not just a hobby but a way of life allowing the Holy Spirit to draw me closer to God. Allowing the Holy Spirit to do His sanctifying work in my life. I can no longer begin my day without God's Word a cup of coffee and a cigarette (yeah I know I'm a dummy for smoking )
I want other people to enjoy studying God's word as much as I do so I decided whether bad or good to start a forum on the fun of studying God's Word. Not sure what to do or where to begin but what the heck let's see what happens.
As long as someone keeps it Biblical let's see what we can learn together....what yinz think?
