[h=3]Hi all below is the time when Moses was in direct communication and talking with God in the tabernacle.
Exodus 18:13-27King James Version (KJV)
[/h] [SUP]13 [/SUP]And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:
[SUP]16 [/SUP]When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

[/h][SUP]13 [/SUP]The next day Moses was settling disputes among the people, and he was kept busy from morning till night. [SUP]14 [/SUP]When Jethro saw everything that Moses had to do, he asked, “What is all this that you are doing for the people? Why are you doing this all alone, with people standing here from morning till night to consult you?”
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Moses answered, “I must do this because the people come to me to learn God's will. [SUP]16 [/SUP]When two people have a dispute, they come to me, and I decide which one of them is right, and I tell them God's commands and laws.”
[h=1] Exodus 18:13-27New International Version (NIV)
[/h] [SUP]13 [/SUP]The next day Moses took his seat to serve as judge for the people, and they stood around him from morning till evening. [SUP]14 [/SUP]When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, “What is this you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge, while all these people stand around you from morning till evening?”
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Moses answered him, “Because the people come to me to seek God’s will. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Whenever they have a dispute, it is brought to me, and I decide between the parties and inform them of God’s decrees and instructions.”
Exodus 18:13-27New King James Version (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And so it was, on the next day, that Moses sat to judge the people; and the people stood before Moses from morning until evening. [SUP]14 [/SUP]So when Moses’ father-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, “What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit, and all the people stand before you from morning until evening?”
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God. [SUP]16 [/SUP]When they have a difficulty, they come to me, and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes of God and His laws.”.
Ok i have bolded out each important bit on each translation. now if you read on in this scripture you will know that this scripture has to do with disputes that where breaking out among the people and the laws that where given for them disputes, i believe this scripture speaks of how the 633 laws came about... as you can see verse 16 in the kjv versions says and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes of God and His laws.”.
where as the niv says [SUP]6 [/SUP]Whenever they have a dispute, it is brought to me, and I decide between the parties and inform them of God’s decrees and instructions.”
So to be clear the niv says he decides bewteen the parties (who are the parties) and the kjv says and I judge between one and another,
I think that the parties means the person who is making the dispute and the person who is responsible for causing the dispute.. correct me if i am wrong please. (could this be seen by some why they call moses the law giver or the law of moses ? i
but what is more important in verse 16 is in all translations it says
(NKJV) and I make known the statutes of God and His laws.”.
(NIV)
and inform them of God’s decrees and instructions.”
Ok now from theese two verses i think its pretty fair to say that it was God who gave the 633 laws yes or know ? and if that is so is it pretty fair to say that this is not the law of moses and moses is not a law giver but a law keeper of the lord ?
Ok what ever people wanna say on this feel free have your own ideas or can shed lite or you wish to dispute fine ok
