Wow! So much contempt! Such loud screeching brakes at the mere idea that our God may be the god of other peoples from other worlds in a larger universe.
It's like many Jewish people who claim God is theirs alone and all the rest of us are meaningless collateral creation trash. Your attitudes are so small, boxlike and confining.
"Neh. 9:6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee."
"Psalm 148:1-6 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters (peoples) that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass."
GOD is GOD. To some, he is bigger than big. To others, he's small indeed. My GOD is HUGE! He fills all and all far before time and far beyond eternity. That my GOD should just concern himself with this little rock that we live on will never come out of my mouth. I won't condemn the idea but it can never be mine.
I'm so curious about John. He was beloved of the LORD and was so near to him.
"1 John 3:1-2 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
John was close to our Lord and he knew him best. Why would he suggest that our Lord may take on another form? I'm with John, though. However my Lord appears, that's exactly what I want to be.
My spacious notions of these ideas don't come from fanciful thoughts. They come from the Bible which I have read many times. It's a beautiful read and I highly recommend it.
