It has been disturbing to read some profiles and people say they have to do certain things on top of faith in Christ to be saved. Don't get me wrong here, as Christians because of our faith we produce works and live in faithfulness. But our faithfulness has never been key to our salvation, we stumble and we fall everyday. We have mixed motives and are still in the process of being sanctified. Christ mediates for us at the right hand of the Father. Why would we need a mediator if we are perfect in the sight of God on our own. It is because God see us as perfect through Christ and Him alone and nothing I have done. It is done in Christ or it isnt. It is Christ's work and His work within us or it is our own. There is no Christ went the first half and I have to finish the other half. Does that mean we shouldn't obey the commands God has given us....NO. We are to because we love God and obedience shows our love.
Brothers and sisters, I may not have worded this in the best way and am open for correction. But the way I believe God's word teaches salvation is faith alone in Christ and from that flows obedience to Him. Thank you for reading!
