For Israel, not the Church.
And everyone of the laws must be followed, not one to be broken.
He did
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written,
Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
(Gal 3:10)
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
(Gal 3:13)
For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched,
and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
(Heb 12:18-24)
So choose your Mountain.
I hope you now see the difference by that passage in Hebrews above. God spoke to the Children of Israel on Mt. Sinai..not the Church.
Jesus said He will (future tense) build His Church much later in Mt 16:18...different entity.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock
I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
(Mat 16:18)
I can't make sense out of this last section, except that I do listen to God, perhaps not as perfect as I should. Just because you disagree with someone does not mean you have to get personal with them. Just bring out what you believe without belittling others or 2nd guessing whether they believe the whole bible or not.
Do you believe what Paul taught is also God's Word to the Church? Don't you see his instructions to the Church do not cover all those to OT Israel? Again if you want to voluntarily play on Mount Sinai, have at it, but don't think other's from the NT Church need to follow.
