Hi ThomasLady. For those that responded to her post, I refer you to 2 timothy 2: 24-25 And the servant of the Lord must not strive, but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose him, if God perhaps, will give them repentance to the acknowledgement of the truth.
I have a copy of the Koran. Do any of you who responded? The Koran is just a series of sayings that are numbered in no particular order. They were supposedly given to Muhammad by an angel from Allah. It is not a collection of books and it hardly says anything about Muhammad. To learn about Muhammad, you have to go to the hadiths or sirahs. Hadiths are stories that were handed down orally from generation to generation and were then written down 200 to 250 years after Muhammad. Sirahs are biographies about Muhammad. I have in my possession the " THE LIFE OF MUHAMMAD" A TRANSLATION OF IBN ISHAQ'S SIRAT RASUL ALLAH by A. Guillaume. He copied the biography from a previous biographer and admits that alterations and exclusions were made to make the stories more palatable. In other words the biographers sugar coated Muhammad's life. The hadiths tell a different story. Read my post titled " The Truth About Muhammad". All that information was taken from a book titled " Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus" by Nabeel Qureshi. The book is about Nabeel, a devout Muslim who was searching to defend Islam but ended up converting to Christianity. In the book, he describes his life as a Muslim which is what I believe you are looking for. He also explains why he converted to Christianity. Also, please read my post on " The Great Commission parts 1,2, and 3". It explains what Christianity is really all about.
