Hey Red!

Why are there sinners in the millenium? If satan has been bound and cant deceive them?

Are the raptured church gonna be living in the millenial (corruptable) earthly kingdom with their glorified incorruptable bodies?

Are the judgments of the good and the wicked a thousand years apart..or at the same time?

Yes. Strangelove, zone, abiding, heck, most everyone on this forum is convinced they have the truth. I am as well. But some have closed their minds to even consider the -possibility- that they -could- be wrong. And they rant, rave, and ridicule and belittle people who don't agree with them, sometimes going as far as to tell them they worship a different God. I do listen to them, somewhat, and some of the things they say do make me think. But so far, nothing has persuaded me to change what I believe is taught in the bible: there will be a millennial kingdom here on earth, and there will be a pretrib rapture.

but i know every corner of that theology.
dispensationalism.

i know what it says.

i've studied it for a long time.

so my mind isn't closed to it at all. i recognize the language and everything. so its not like i haven't checked it thoroughly before deciding its wrong.
its easy to trace it, right to its origins.

its not in scripture. at all. its an overlay.

Sorry for the delay... I'm painting the deck railing.

I believe what it says. If people do not come to Jerusalem, no rain for them.

There will be three groups of people in the millennial kingdom. Christians (in their new spiritual bodies), OT believers (resurrected and in their new bodies) and people who made it through the trib. They will still have mortal bodies, and will procreate, and die (they will be judged at the white throne judgement). We will be reigning with Christ, as will I believe the OT believers. I think (but am not certain) the only ones who will have to show up at Jerusalem annually will be the mortals.

Christ will be ruling firmly (with a rod of iron). There will be perfect living conditions, plenty of food, safety, no disease. Isaiah 65:17-25.

I'm looking forward to it!
hi shroom....painting the deck railing? nice fall activity. what color?

what do people die from if there's perfect safety and no disease?

so.....we have a Glorified Christ, reigning from David's throne in....a rebuilt (by men) temple in Jerusalem. He has come in all His glory, has destroyed the son of perdition with the brightness of His Coming.

but He sent His angels ahead and they gathered the tares first and bundled them, then gathered the wheat into His barn.

so do those tares stayed bundled for 1,000 years?

how come they didn't get a second chance like everyone else?

Bible says ALL whose names aren't written in the book take the mark.
and it says all who take the mark go into the fire.

so.....are the ones who "survived the trib" with or without the mark?

who serves in the Millennial Temple with The Lord? OT saints and christians?

what is the purpose of the millennium? for people to procreate and what? believe on the Lord? why wouldn't they when He is here in all His Glory?

people watch tv today and see the Queen or the president on every channel. if they were brought to the White House i think they would do what they were told.

not so with GLORIFIED CHRIST ON EARTH IN JERUSALEM?

hmmmmmmmmm

I do not believe the resurrected OT believers in their glorified bodies will sin. The ones who may have the option to do so are the mortals who made it through the trib.

But...this is an interesting subject...... We have genuine free will. We can choose to sin, or not sin. We can choose to accept salvation, or to reject it. In the afterlife, even with glorified bodies, we will still have genuine free will. God will not override free will. He will not make us not sin. So will there still be the option of disobeying God?

I admit I do not know..... but am looking forward to finding out.

Of course, if you believe that man does NOT have free will to start with, no prob. God will just make us do whatever He wants. But that is not love.
hi shroom.
but the word is clear that God has purposed to have a new heaven and new earth wherein righteousness dwells, and that He has chosen a family He will have with Him....sons He has adopted.

Eph says He purposed from the foundation of the world He would have a family, a great multitude no man can number we know from Rev, out of every kindred tongue and nation...jew and gentile, no difference. JOINT-HEIRS.

He's been translating those who BELIEVED HIM AND HE COUNTED THEIR FAITH AS RIGHTEOUSNESS from the start, into His eternal Kingdom. which is underway now. at just the right time, Jesus came and purchased us all, all who believe.

it does say He seated us in the heavenlies...so whether you take that to mean in His imagination since we lie in soul sleep, or whether thats where we go when we sleep, you got Paul himself saying seated US WITH HIM.

QUESTION:

IS JUSTIFICATION ALWAYS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH?

because if it is, there's something wrong with an earthly millennium.

FAITH no longer needed when Christ is here: we'll see Him.

so what does the DISPENSATION OF THE 1,000 years say is the next METHOD OF SALVATION FOR MANKIND?

IS IT A REVERSION TO LAW?

where, anywhere does the Bible say there is a 3rd Covenant, or a mixture of 2?

BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH.

what will the change-up be? WHERE CAN I READ ABOUT THAT COVENANT?

To all you 'amillennialist' I would ask you to explained the following passage, especially the meaning of the question that was asked by the disciples of Jesus Christ who was in His resurrected body...

Acts 1:1-9 1 The former treatise have I made , O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach , 2 Until the day in which he was taken up , after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen : 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6 When they therefore were come together , they asked of him, saying , Lord , wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld , he was taken up ; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

What were the disciples referring to? This was the last question and answer that they were able to ask of Him before He was taken up and by the answer that the risen Lord gave to them, it does not look like He had restored the kingdom to Israel but referred it to the Father. Was the kingdom rent from Israel with the promise of it being restored? When the disciples understood that the kingdom was going to be restored to Israel, was it false doctrine or a wrong understanding on their part? Did the resurrected Christ, who had power over the grave, correct their error or did He also understand that the kingdom would be restored to Israel on the Father's time table?

OR - Do you believe that this is spiritual Israel being referred to and the kingdom has already been restored to and through the church? If that is true, then show who restored it and when that restoration of the kingdom took place using the testimony and evidence of the New Testament scriptures under the new covenant. Show also how that kingdom was restored through the church (if that is what you believe) and the preaching of the kingdom of God and I am not talking about salvation or redemption but rather restoration of the kingdom that Israel once had? What was the former glory of the kingdom that would be restored to Israel?

Cape Cod Gray, or some such.... Looks good.

what do people die from if there's perfect safety and no disease?
Old age. A couple posts later I listed the three groups of people who will be present. The ones who made it through the trib will still be mortal. They will be procreating and dying.

so.....we have a Glorified Christ, reigning from David's throne in....a rebuilt (by men) temple in Jerusalem. He has come in all His glory, has destroyed the son of perdition with the brightness of His Coming.

They will be dead, killed in the battle of Armageddon (so called..). Everyone left will know God.

how come they didn't get a second chance like everyone else?
Who gets a second chance?

Bible says ALL whose names aren't written in the book take the mark.
and it says all who take the mark go into the fire.

Without.

who serves in the Millennial Temple with The Lord? OT saints and christians?
And those who made it through the trib.

what is the purpose of the millennium? for people to procreate and what? believe on the Lord? why wouldn't they when He is here in all His Glory?
Two reasons. One is to fulfill the promises made to the nation of Israel. Abraham never got the land he was promised. There are more, I do not know them off the top of my head. The second reason may be to prove the depravity of man. Even after living in a perfect place, with perfect safety, a perfect king, perfect health, perfect justice, and plenty of food, when satan is released, he will somehow convince a huge multitude to gather for war against Jerusalem.

people watch tv today and see the Queen or the president on every channel. if they were brought to the White House i think they would do what they were told.
Some would, some would not.

not so with GLORIFIED CHRIST ON EARTH IN JERUSALEM?

Man is still man, with free will. ...and the bible says that -if- they don't come, no rain for them. It does not say some will not come.

I think verse 7 is not answered whether u are a dispensationalist or not...but verse 8 is His prophecy concerning it. Chapter 2:5 shows the representation of all Israel and 2:17 shows it was a fulfillment
of the restoration spoken to the prophets. As well as v.25 and on throughout the chapter and through
the epistles many verses are OT prophecy references. Yes I believe their restored Kingdom started at Pentecost. Jusr as Jesus said His Kingdom is not of "this" world. But we look forward to a new heavens and a new earth. Which according to Peter is the next event.

I explained one ..your turn

2 Peter 3:10-13
King James Version (KJV)
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

hi shroom.

That's true. Mans final dwelling place will be a brand new heaven and earth. Rev 21:1ff. The millennial kingdom precedes it.

QUESTION:

IS JUSTIFICATION ALWAYS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH?

because if it is, there's something wrong with an earthly millennium.
Why? If people are not believing (having faith) and determine not to go to Jerusalem as appointed, are they justified?

FAITH no longer needed when Christ is here: we'll see Him.
Yes. And we (Christians) and the OT believers will have our new spiritual bodies. We have done what is required for salvation. It's a done deal for us. But the ones who make it through the trib, who will multiply into a vast number, will still have to be justified by their faith.

so what does the DISPENSATION OF THE 1,000 years say is the next METHOD OF SALVATION FOR MANKIND?
Continuing to have faith in God and His Son.

IS IT A REVERSION TO LAW?
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law. People will have to look to Christ for their salvation.

where, anywhere does the Bible say there is a 3rd Covenant, or a mixture of 2?

BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH.

what will the change-up be? WHERE CAN I READ ABOUT THAT COVENANT?
There is no third covenant. The covenants are for the nation of Israel. The millennial kingdom will be the second covenant. Jer 31:31ff. We are living in the administration (dispensation) of grace, God's secret that was not known about by anyone until it was revealed to Paul. Now, both Jew and gentile are to become saved by acting on Rom 10:9. This administration will end. God will once again be dealing with Jews and gentiles. Then comes the trib and armageddon, then the second covenant with Israel.

Gotta run.....

Honestly i just find it hard to believe that the Holyspirit would tell me to look to something
thats over a thousands years out after the church age is over..Seems He would have at least slipped
a mention in there. To me anyway. Not to speak of the same absence in both the gospels and epistles.

Read those verses again, Abiding...

8) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9) By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10) For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

13) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

There is more to come for Abe.
