I don't understand these scriptures as applying to the Sinai covenant. Scripture tells us that to be sinful and disobedient is to be enslaved by sin. under Christ we repent of sin, ask forgiveness, and we are set free. We are dead tp sin, and as Paul states, why would we want sin in our lives after we are dead to sin.

John 8:34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Gen 21:10 Sarah said to Abraham, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac.”

Gal 4:30 But what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman [Hagar] and her son [Ishmael], For never shall the son of the bondwoman be heir and share the inheritance with the son of the free woman.”

These verses tell a parallel story.

Sarah wanted a child, but, was unable to conceive. Hagar was a bond servant/slave of Abraham & Sarah. Sarah gives Hagar to Abraham (customary of the time) to have a baby. Abraham & Hagar have a son/Ishmael.

Later, God "miraculously" enables Sarah to conceive, Abraham & Sarah have a son/Isaac. Years later Sarah see Ishmael teasing/taunting Isaac. She has Abraham cast out Hagar/the slave & Ishmael. Ergo the two parallel verses in Gen & Gal.

If you place yourself under the Mosaic covenant, you are a slave to it's ordinances. If you put old Sinai covenant law above the New covenant law of Christ. Like Hagar the bond slave you have no place/part in Christ new covenant inheritance/salvation/eternal life promises.

The laws job was to expose sin & condemn the sinner to death, without mercy. Without the law, we wouldn't know we are sinners in need of a Savior.

A sinless Jesus/God willingly took our place/judgment. Became sin & endured every curse it demanded by law fulfilling its required sin price/DEATH.

Anyone that understand that there is a Creator God.

Understands they have sinned against His Sovereign rule. That they deserve Heavens invoked penalty (DEATH) & are in need rescued.

Understands God sent His Son to rescue humanity.

Places their faith/trust in God's offered sin atonement.

Found in the sinless Christ's death (sins required wage, Paid), burial (proof Jesus died), & resurrection (Father's receipt, sins required wage received & accepted).

See how: 1 Cor 15:1-4 - Rom 10:9-10.

You are now saved & will receive your promised inheritance. Every sin committed, Past-Present-Future: Completely forgiven, Completely removed, Full pardon. All Paid in Full by Jesus, He imputes His righteousness (A Gift) onto you. And you also are guaranteed (By Jesus/God) eternal life (Another Gift) Jesus give you.

Christ mediated New covenant believers are under Grace not law (Rom 6:14).

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
(MY NOTE; Grace has a Name it's JESUS, not Moses)

Forget about the Covenant on Sinai it's OBSOLETE! Focus on Christ's New Better Eternal Covenant!

Time for praise, rejoicing & thanksgiving.

There is absolutely no scripture telling us that man could be saved through his own efforts under the Mosaic covenant. Scripture (eternal scripture) is clear that there isn't and never was any salvation except through Christ. The sacrificial system was based on the shadow of Christ and scripture states that without blood there is no salvation.

A secular way of stating the Mosaic covenant would be: if you steal or murder you go to prison.

In scripture, slavery is slavery to sin. Under Sarah we are under the Lord's way and that is Christ. Under Hagar we are under the law for salvation. As scripture speaks of this there is not one verse that connects the history of Sarah and Hagar to the covenants, and besides you have what these covenants are all wrong.

Under Hagar we are under the law for salvation.
There was no salvation to be found in the Mosaic covenant cut at Sinai, only condemnation, judgment & death.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”

The Mosaic covenant was given to us by the Lord, and to say what the Lord gave us was condemnation, judgment & death doesn't seem right at all to me.

This covenant makes no mention of salvation---they had the sacrificial system (a shadow of Christ) for that. It is a promise by the Lord to send us blessings for obedience to God's ways. These promises to us by the Lord are eternal promises, not cancelled.

??? I never claimed he wasn't.
Point is, before he was born on earth, he patiently endured mankinds wrongdoing against himself, giving sinners time to repent before judgement fell on them.
So we can see that after he was born on earth, he patiently endured mankinds wrongdoing against himself, giving sinners time to repent. Understand?
